Got up early today to head off to DD1s house, as she arrived she came in and said there is a man who has just run out of next door and thrown up ,he said he had opened the fridge 🤢🤢 they were onto the kitchen today and when I got back it looked like they had made it upstairs because there are mattresses stacked up on the garden.
We did well at DDs she needed the wet room, utility and kitchen diner painted and got all the that painted with a second coat then the dining area with a first coat so she has to go back tomorrow and put a second coat on that and that end is done. They have had the wall knocked through to the living room which also needs painting but that can't be done until the other end is finished and they can move the bits in there out of the way. I'm working tomorrow so won't be able to help . It was very cold as well because the heating isn't on I had three T-shirt's and a thick jumper on so my body was warm but my painting shoes are a pair of old converse trainers and they are not good in cold weather so my hands and feet were freezing🥶🥶 mind you I got home and I had accident.y left the heating on so my house was toasty when I got in ( I'm not thinking about the waste of money that involved 😀) the animals were lovely and warm 😀
IM working an early tomorrow so will be going to bed soon as I have to be up at 5.15 am 😫

Sounds like you got a lot done. It shows the medication must be working as you wouldn’t have been able t do that much a while ago. Bet it feels good 👍January spends - £587.582

I think the landlord of the house next door must be wishing that either he or the managing agent had periodically checked the place. How much is he now spending out to fumigate and repair? I bet it will need a new kitchen and bathroom before it can be rented out again. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Work was lovely today. I spent my day sorting and tidying the ward in between cuddling a baby if he got upset 😀 I even got home in record time ( under an hour ) I was full of energy when I got back so I ran round with the hoover.
Im back on painting duty tomorrow so will be busy all day again.
I saw the landlord from next door earlier and he said they have finally finished clearing all the rubbish out of the house. They are back tomorrow but I don't know if they are cleaning or starting to decorate because he's already got a tenant lined up so he will want to move her in pretty quickly. Apparently it's a lady who works as a taxi driver that he knows personally so hopefully she will be ok 🤞🤞Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.94 -
Forgot to say my pension was paid today so I need to get used to being paid at different times. I've already taken the money out that I want to save this month and added it back into my lump sum . I also got money back from my pet insurance but it's a rip off. The bill was £194 and I got £74 back 😟 DD1 owes me money for the taking the cat to the vets so that will go back into the lump sum and I also have my council tax money to pay in as well. I have a nice amount left after paying off my mortgage but I've got quite a lot to pay for with jobs on the house so I'm trying recoup some of the money I used on the mortgage to make sure it doesn't get frittered away.
Im getting used to my new budget and it's going to be roughly the same every month so I will know exactly how much I've got to play with.
PRA are going to be in touch in February so I'm going to offer them a set amount that I can comfortably afford without stretching myself and making life difficult and I've also increased my food budget from £25 a week to £40 which means I can buy healthier food and that also includes cleaning products and toiletries. I buy Bs food from amazon so I set up a subscription today because it's cheaper and I haven't got to remember to order it.
This year I'm trying to streamline everything to make life easy. So things like the pet food subscription take the stress out of remembering to buy it in time and carrying it home. It's only pedigree tinned food nothing fancy so I'm not paying more for it.
Ive still got some things to get rid of in my decluttering frenzy that will be bagged up for the charity shop then I'm going to hire a rubbish disposal man to take away some things from the loft. My two spare rooms are pretty empty now. DD2s old room still has a bed in it but she stays over so I need to keep that. That room and my room have built in wardrobes so no need for separate furniture. I am going to buy myself two chests of drawers from Ikea when I finish my room because I haven't had any new furniture since I move in in 1994 and I think I've posted before about my MFI drawers being 36 years old 😂 they aren't big enough and I'm fed up of squashing my clothes in there so I'm treating myselfOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.97 -
When I do my DMP budget I always calculate everything on the worst case scenario, and set it from there to keep the payments low and ensure I've got enough flex to cover everything. Any savings I then make can be squirreled away. I use NEDCAB for mine, and it gives a good idea of what is reasonable in different categories. Once I get some decent savings behind me, I'll do a full and final offer to clear them. You need to live, so do make sure you are not stretching yourself."If you can dream it, you can do it".
