It’s heartbreaking, especially when you see the state of some of these animals. All rescue centres and fosters are full, but they still go above and beyond to help us deal with these abandoned pets.xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.94

Update on cats
They are both still here 😟 but the RSPCA are aware of the situation and are feeding them daily. One of my other neighbours is going to phone the CPL tomorrow to see if they have room but I know most rescues are full to bursting at the moment. If they agree to take them she is going to drop them off tomorrow. In the mean one spent the night with me last night and he literally just slept. I decided to let him out this morning because he needed to go to the toilet and he is used to being out during the day. I didn't see him all day but he turned up at around 9 so I let him in put him in the crate and squishing the blanket for a bit and purring a lot he went to sleep. He hasn't moved since. I will let him out again tomorrow. I can't get near the other one but the neighbour said she would try and get him in because he does know her and is ok with her cats. The one I've got fights with her cats so she can't have have him in her house.
The landlady messaged me today ( we are friends from when she lived in the house herself ) and she said she went round on Friday once she got the keys and one of the cats was actually locked in the house but ran out when she opened the door so she called the RSPCA .
She sent me some photos of the damage to the house and it's unbelievable, I felt sick looking at them you can't see any surfaces or floors for rubbish and the bath and sink are filthy. I feel quite sorry for whoever has to go in and sort that out. One of the kids bedrooms is ankle deep in rubbish 🤢 it's no wonder they aren't with her anymore.
Ive had a day at home today because I don't feel too good. I keep getting symptoms of a virus but it doesn't seem to come to anything. It goes away for a few days then comes back for another go and I have a headache I can't get rid of. I did get some jobs done though. I like to clean everyday so nothing gets out of hand and I can't stand coming down to a mess in the morning so everything has to be clean and tidy before I go to bed. It's actually making my skin crawl knowing what mess is on the other side of my walls 🤢🤢Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.97 -

This news about the cats has made me so sad - and it's no excuse that when you move you 'cant take your pets with you.
If nothing else can a shelter be out in the garden for the other one - use straw not hay (straw is for strays hay is for horses) and if possible a snuggle safe heat pad so allow him / her to escape the cold and impending snow. (Yes i volunteer at a rescue too and have 3 shelters in my garden).
Thanks for helping them as much as you can - you are amazing!

It's so sad that one cat won't come in, but it's being fed by another neighbour, perhaps they can catch it. I'm glad though that they aren't being kept by the original owners, who don't sound fit to look after any living thing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I can't decide just which is worse. Locking a cat out in this weather or locking it in an "empty" house. Although at least if they are outside other people can try to take care of them.

I do hope things are sorted out for the poor cats. 😞
And I hope you feel better too OBL.
What you said about the mess - I'd feel sick as well if I had mess like that on the other side of my wall! I do hope the landlord thoroughly vets the next renters! My friend lets out a house - when her current renters applied she actually searched for the wife's Facebook page and had a look. She said she may have been stalking but it gave her an idea of what the family were like! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
