I fancied a new start to nudge me back into MSE ways as I can feel myself slipping so here I am with a new diary. I'm quite happy to report that I've come into 2024 without any added debt and am now Mortgage free due to semi retirement. I am now working two days a week and receiving my NHS pension to make up my wages. I feel very lucky at the moment to finally be in a position to be able to afford to not worry about something breaking or putting the heating on its also quite novel to be able to buy my food shop without worrying I'm going to run out of money.ย
I do still have debt which is currently on hold until February when the company are going to contact me again to sort out a payment plan. I was going to go for write offs and I know this sounds bonkers but I just can't do it.Im just not mentally safe enough to put myself under that stress so ย I'm going to offer them an amount I can afford and I will keep paying. I'm also of the mindset that I spent that money so should pay it back. In reality it's probably going to take me forever but that just the way it is ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I will I'll try not to come up with any pie in the sky ideas but would like to enjoy my life along the way. Happy new diary OBL! What a good point in your life to start a new chapter - I will of course be reading along.
It's also a good way of keeping the years at bay - we will all see you in the light of your diary title, even years down the line.
