Cherryfudge said:What an interesting idea! I will try to remember that for next year for DGD. Her birthday is very close to Christmas so she tends to get lots of presents at once, but she loves books so this would be perfect for her.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.92

Hi everyone 😊talk about be consistent then disappear 😀 it my DD1s fault as she kept going on at me to watch Happy Valley. I didn't watch any of it when it was on originally but decided to watch it on catch up and that's what I've been doing since Saturday. I finished it last night and it was sooooo good but I'm sad that it's finished now 😀 I don't watch the tv much but do like the odd thing. I love Sarah Lancashire but thought this would be too violent and it was violent but also so much more than that at the same time. I will need to find something else to watch now.
Ive been at home all weekend not feeling to great and on Sunday I started to come down with a cold 😟 I feel rough today so haven't done much at all and I've had to phone in sick for tomorrow. It's not covid but feels like it. I was supposed to helping DD2 with her painting this week but couldn't go over there today. I'm hoping I will feel better by Thursday so I can go over then 🤞🤞
Im having my gutters cleared on Thursday morning. The landlord from next door has moaned at me because they are full of undergrowth so I've just booked someone to come and do them. He also kicked off about the trees and how I need to chop them down. We have this argument every few years and I just ignore him and hope the tree doesn't fall on his house at any time in the near future . I've got plans to have the biggest one looked at because it is an ash tree and there is ash die back everywhere but I've never had the money to sort it before but he doesn't care about things like that. I know my gutters need doing but again never had the money but they will hopefully be done on Thursday so long as the weather is okOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.94 -

I'm so glad all my jobs are done and the house is clean and tidy because I don't think I will be doing a lot over the next couple of days.
Apart from taking B for a very slow amble up the road, feeding the cats and sorting the chicken I've just been reading my book.
Its been a grey day here and now I can hear the wind is picking up so storm Jocelyn has arrived. I hope my trees are ok as it's just my luck one will come down now. The ones at the front aren't my responsibility but the ones at the back are in my garden. I am going to get a tree surgeon to have a look but probably won't be able to get one to come out yet due to all the storm damage.
B hasn't had a very good day today as her back end keeps falling to the side so I'm keeping and eye on that. It can take up to 60 days for Librela to leave the system so I will wait and see.
Im wondering if I've got covid because I can smell moth balls for some reason 😀 the first time I had it I could smell smoke all the time which was really weird. My sense of taste has never been the same so I haven't noticed any difference with that nothing tastes like it used to and I now put salt on my food otherwise it hardly tastes of anything. It's very weird how this lasted so long 🤷🏻♀️
I'm hoping I will sleep well tonight. I bought some Night Nurse all in one capsules to use during the day but they aren't very good so I won't waste my money againOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.94 -
Sorry to hear you aren't well. I'm not sure whether it's new viruses or changes in us following Covid jabs, but I don't feel I get the same sort of colds as I used to: fewer, often less intense. I still swear by old-fashioned nursing that got people through before modern medicine - with a timely supplement of modern medicine as applicable! This was because my Dad swore by it, having been nursed through rheumatic fever in 1938 without most of the benefits we have today. He passed his care skills on to me (care worker) and my son (nurse) - but the line goes back to the unknown doctor who came and sat with an eighteen year old in a darkened room to help him get through a life-threatening illness.
And enough reminiscing! I think I'm saying go easy on yourself - keep up the fluids, take the vitamins, rest, rest, rest and a bit of fresh air. I hope you feel better soon.
The change in smell is really strange and I'd bet it's be something you could do without. I remember early on in Covid, it wasn't counted as an indicator of Covid as it happens with some other things, but I don't know what those were. I hope yours sorts itself out and goes an extra mile to right the problem you were left with before.
And the ash tree: there's a lot of ash die-back round here but our ash is okay so far. From looking on the Internet, I think I could tell if it started to ail, but a tree surgeon told us a while ago that it's okay. Just because the disease in the region doesn't mean your tree has it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I think my ash tree is fine.it looks healthy enough and we had some serious winds here last night but it was hardly moving. It's just him next door making me worried 😡Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.93
