I think you deserve a home-based day after all that. B sounds like a straightforward pleasant companion to walk with, but being in so much pain must be very wearing.
What are you reading at the moment?
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It’s good that B is friendly with other dogs and is happy to be out and about. Think you both struck lucky 😄

I was reading Death Of A Friend by Rebecca Tope, it’s a murder mystery book I picked up from my little free library that’s I go past on one of my dog walks but I finished it today, I’m now going to be reading Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs it’s my pick for February from my book blind date with a book I get for Christmas, I’ve looked at it a few times and nearly bought it so it’s a good job I didn’t 😀

Yeah he seems ok, he’s is a bit nervous and for some reason doesn’t like Labrador’s much but anyone else is ok , he is nervous of men especially if they are wearing dark hoodies or puffa jackets and he doesn’t like walking sticks, he’s got used to my big umbrella now but cowed away from it when I first took it on a walk ☹️

I’ve had a very relaxed day today, I was a bit worried about B because he seemed very lethargic this morning and he usually wakes up if I get up in the night but he didn’t stir. He will normally get up at 8ish but this morning stayed in bed until 10am. He has eaten and was ok on his walks though so maybe he was just tired.
I spent most of the day on the settee with him reading my book which I finished, it was quite good and had a nice little twist at the end. I’ve signed up to a Goodreads challenge again this year my challenge is to read 52 books in 2026, I did the same last year and nearly made it with 49 books read, so close 😀
Im going to see my Mum tomorrow and to get a hair cut and she has asked me to hoover her living room while im there. Mums house is spotless so hoovering the living room will take about 5 minutes 😀she phoned me today to make sure I had got the message about the haircut and she sounded very frail, she said she wasn’t feeling very well so I will see how she is tomorrow

Hope your mum is ok tomorrow 🤞
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
I can see we will have to look out a couple of very short books to be sure you get them all in this year! 49 is a good total. The ones you've mentioned so far seem to have a bit of blood in them so perhaps along those lines? I came across the 'Provincial Lady' series by EM Delafield, all in one volume (Kindle) so I will be reading for some time. Not an action-driven plot by any means but funny, and an insight into the world between the wars.
I hope your mum and B are both okay tomorrow.

Oops slacking again. Mum and B are both ok mum was just tired and feels dizzy but they can’t figure out why and I think B was just tired 😀he does like sleeping.
My sister is coming down on Wednesday to take mum to see a rather fancy care home, it’s only three years old and looks like a hotel and spa. They offer a respite stay where you can try it out to see if you like it so we will see how it goes. It’s in the same area where DD2 lives and funnily where I went to move to if we move in together so that would be handy.I haven’t been up to much just pootling around doing some cross stitch, walking the dog, reading and meeting friends for coffee. I’ve now read 8 books so I’m 2 books ahead in my challenge 🍾🥳🍾
I had some paperwork come through yesterday to claim my pension so I’m going to fill that out and try and post it tomorrow.
I haven’t felt too good today as I’m very tired for some reason so I’ve relaxed all day and I’m going to have an early night I thinkOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,756 Owed = £10,8747 -
