Great news about your retirement

Sorry to hear that Christmas didn't quite go as planned, but I suppose Winter illnesses are one of those annoying things which crop up in the colder months & I know how hard you try to steer clear of them. How lovely to read that you have adopted another dog! I am not a doggy person, but I genuinely found myself smiling when I read your news as it does feel special being able to give a good home to a new fur friend. I didn't know that adopting from Romania was even a thing, so I learned something too.

I had an appointment with occy health on the 17th of December and the doctor has finally told my boss I’m unfit for work 🍾🥳🍾🥳 so she phoned me last week and is now going to arrange the meeting where they will terminate my contract.

It’s funny because I had a funny feeling about this Christmas and wasn’t surprised when it went a bit pear shaped, the nice thing about it is that I’ve always worried about spending it on my own but it was actually ok, I would have preferred to see my daughter but it wasn’t awful being on my own 🙂 poor DD is unfortunately at risk because she works in the hospital so it just one of those things, I did feel sorry for her being on her own and being ill as well☹️foxgloves said:Sorry to hear that Christmas didn't quite go as planned, but I suppose Winter illnesses are one of those annoying things which crop up in the colder months & I know how hard you try to steer clear of them. I have had dogs for most of my adult life and one of the first things I did when I got a place to live that allowed pets was to get a dog, horses and dogs make me a happy person 😀 I knew about the Romanian rescues because a colleague had done it and her dog ( Simon) is lovely. They can come with lots of problems and I wouldn’t recommend to someone who hasn’t owned a dog before but it’s very rewarding when you see them begin to trust you . These dogs have had truely awful so it can be hard to gain their trust but I think I’m winning B over with lots of sausages 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,756 Owed = £10,8746 -
