That’s scary about your DGD’s school. So sobering.

Remember to fill your fuel tank at C0stc0 as it's the cheapest around (although you may have to queue). Only members can use their filling station.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1 -
Thanks Satchmo…..we have an electric car but used to fill up at Costco when we had the old car. I’m going with a friend though and I’ll ask her if she wants to fill up.
Today I’ve been sorting and dressing the bedrooms, now most of the decorating stuff has been put away. I never actually put the excess bedding away after the family were here at half term, so that has been sorted. I’ve put one of the grandchildren’s Z beds up as a bed and the other left folded as a headboard wrapped in a throw. It looks ok. I did all the washing late last night and nipped down a couple of time in the night to put the dryer on….making use of the cheap electricity whilst the car was on charge and the overnight cheap rate. I’ve ironed what needed ironing whilst catching up with Corrie. Dh finished the last bit of gloss painting in the hall. I think all we want to do now is the kitchen window ledge - it looks a bit sorry for itself and could do with a spruce up.
Before I go out tomorrow I want to put some V@nish carpet cleaner on the stairs then I can Hoover it when I get home. I’ve cleaned the rest of the carpets with my Vax carpet cleaner but it doesn’t have accessories to clean the stairs. Then I think it’ll look presentable enough to get it values.Dh has been putting his trains in their original boxes and the next big job will be taking all his track up 😳😳😳I suspect there will be quite a lot when we see it gathered together. I know I got a shock when I saw how much wool I had…..I reckon I could crochet every day and never need to buy anymore. Once I’ve finished the throws I’m making for the gks and the couple of cardigans I need to finish I’m going to make a baby blankets for charity. I’m sure they’ll be a charity somewhere that could make use of them.

on of my sisters used to make tiny baby hats that were in demand for prem babies. It might be a faster way to produce something for charity.

Where has time gone again.
We have been busy. We were away last week in a caravan…..Millie Motorhome stayed at home. It only cost an extra £2 a night to stay in their van than to take Millie. This meant we could travel around the area with the car rather than having to park a motorhome. I thoroughly enjoyed myself….it was very relaxing having the extra room. We stayed in Berwick on Tweed and travelled as far as Edinburgh, where we went to the Botanical Gardens. I love it there and can’t believe it’s still free entry 😁
The only downside was the parking ticket we acquired parking outside 🤬We parked up, saw a ticket machine, paid for 3 hours parking and went on our merry way. We arrived back with 15 minutes to spare and found a ticket on our windscreen. There was a sign we hadn’t noticed with an arrow to the left, telling us to purchase our ticket from the machine further down the road on the left…..we’d bought ours from the closest machine to us which happened to be to the right of the car 🤷🏻♀️🤬. We have appealed……surely in this day of technology the traffic warden’s machine should be able to show the car reg and ticket purchased whichever machine it was from…..so beware if parking outside Botanical Gardens…..look at the arrows 😳Watch this space for news on the appeal 🤞🤞
We’ve had an estate agent round to give us an evaluation and have another coming in about an hour and then tomorrow morning. The first guy seemed impressed with the property and has valued it for slightly more than we expected. We’re going down to stay with Dd for a few days at Easter so hopefully we’ll look at some property down there. It’s all seeming very real now.
I’ve been busy crocheting the 2nd throw- 1 for each granddaughter. I don’t think it’ll be finished to take at Easter but won’t be far off.

Glad you enjoyed your break but boo to the parking ticket.

We’ve instructed the estate agent to put the house on the market and will be away next week so as soon as we get home they’re taking photos. We’ve got a few viewings to look at places when we’re round at dds next week. I looking forward to seeing the house that ds has bought. It’s going to be a busy week down there.
I’ve tried hard not to spend much but did succumb to some face creams whilst away last week. I was trying shoes on to go with a dress for a wedding I’m going to in summer. I couldn’t wear any of them…..and they were what I class as ‘old lady’ shoes. I was so fed up I went I went across the road and just bought some. I do use it and it’s my luxury item…..not sure if it keeps the wrinkles away BUT it did cheer me up. Anyway it’s done now so no point getting mad with myself.
I have a recurring tummy problem which has flared up again so I filled the paperwork in on line for an appointment. I can’t knock it as I had and appointment at 5 pm the same day. So I’ve got the medication which I have to take for 2 weeks. I feel loads better already…..I can always tell when it’s revving up as I just feel really tired…..I’d thought it was because I was busy doing all sorts to get the house ready for the market. At least it’s being sorted and the GP listened to me instead of whizzing me off for cameras - which is usually what happens.
I had a phone call from the building society earlier and I’ve won the Easter raffle. I can’t remember exactly what was in the basket but it was a variety of chocolate goodies 😁Well go and collect it on Saturday morning.
I want to pay my cc in full later and check my finances 👍
