good point.
I was at the theatre last year to see a show and the same thing happened. In & out to the toilet by some patrons. Spoilt the show to a degree.

We currently have a 3 bedroom semi INOD and we want a 2 bed bungalow. I want space for a friend who’ll hopefully come to stay…..it should be doable. But we won’t need all the z beds for the family as we do now.

My neighbour was diagnosed with a brain tumour the first week in January…..she passed away this morning. It’s a blessing in disguise I think, but very sad all the same. Everyone was worried about her Dh who has a progressive illness and expected him to be the first to go. so it’s been a shock. They had great plans for the future even though they were in their 80’s. We have to make the most of every minute.
Moneywise I spent £8 in Aldi on cheese and fruit.
I had to take the blood pressure monitor back to the pharmacy earlier today. I’ve been teetering on the edge of needing medication for several years and refused to take it when offered to me…..promising to do something about it, I’ve talked about loosing weight and doing regular swimming to get it down. I’m really good for a couple weeks then go awol from healthy eating again. I was so mad with myself when I saw the results this morning. They were high and pharmacist is getting in touch with my GP recommending medication so I’m expecting a message to book an appointment. I don’t think I’d be wise to talk myself out of it this time as they were fairly consistent all day and she said she was flagging it as urgent. I have been back on track eating wise in a slim hope that I can actually get it down with a better lifestyle.
Im looking forward to the next couple of days as I’m meeting various friends. And am at aqua on Thursday evening.January spends - £587.582 -

I’ve been out with a friend today. We went to the big shopping mall nearby. From there I went on the tram to an outlet village where I bought some half price underwear in e M&S outlet 😄👍 sun came out and it was lovely by the big canal. Dh rang me and the workman who should have been with us today phoned and asked if he could do the job next week when they’re back again. So I jumped back on the tram to the big shopping mall and met Dh and we went to see his sister. We took her for tea at the pub she likes to go to. I wasn’t particularly hungry as I’d had a jacket spud earlier at the mall. I had a pensioners all day breakfast but gave half of it to Dh. It is hard work with SIL as she is now living in a parallel world of mixed memories. She has always had a tendency to look on the bitter side of life…..which is very apparent now. We planted the seed that we might be moving. I’m not sure if she’ll remember but it needed to be done. We said we will still visit - maybe not as often.
I’m out again tomorrow with another friend. We’re using our bus passes to go to a canal side museum. It could be interesting.About £35 spent today for dinner in mall, M&S bargain and trip to Ald! on the way home for some fresh bits.

I had a lovely time with MSE friend in the week and then with some friends at the museum. I had jacket potatoes out both days.
I know I’ve said it many times before but my mindset has changed re loosing weight and the blood pressure readings have given me the kick up the buuummm that I needed. My mantra with food is now…’do I want……or do I want tablets’ I lost 3 lb last week 😀
Today I’ve transferred some money into my ISA. It’s not the best interest rate but it’s an account I can withdraw 3 times before loosing any interest. I originally started this account to pay for house repairs. The work on the damp areas isn’t as expensive as I expected and Dh paid it….so I’ll use this towards the moving expenses. I’ve been very strict about not buying things and using my stocks up. I know we won’t be moving any time soon but I reckon it’s best to start emptying cupboards now. No point buying things even if they’re bargainous….to end up paying removal men to transport them to the opposite end of the country.
Dh is going down tomorrow and picks his keys up mid week. It’s all very real now. I can’t wait to see it and his plans.
I’ve been looking at bungalows on line. I saw a lovely one - it needs a fair bit doing cosmetic wise. It’ll be walking distance from both kids but we’re not ready yet. If it’s still on the market next time we go down there I will go to see it….but if it’s gone it’s not meant to be and something else will turn up.
Dh has decided he will start dismantling his train set. We ordered a Christmas tree bag to put some of the track in. It needs something 4 ft long and ds suddenly had a brainwave of Christmas tree bags…..it’s not the right time of the year now though 🥴They accepted the order then sent a message saying they were out of stock so we need to think of something else. The plan is to clean and check each piece of track as there is a fault somewhere. Pack it up ready for the move and if we don’t move it can go back out here. Dh has been threatening to take it up and check it for a long time….watch this space. The workmen should be coming Wednesday and Thursday to sort the damp. Hope they don’t cancel like they did last week.

Do you sew @milann? It would be quite easy to make something to put the track in. I have no idea what fabric Christmas tree bags are made of but I would think some fairly heavy cotton fabric would work well.
I made fabric bags a while back for my DD2 for various bits and pieces for her camping gear including a bag for the legs of her BBQ using some fabric I had in my stash - a heavyweight cotton and they worked well and she's been using them for the past 3 or 4 years.

I think running down supplies is a great start. It also means you storage will look a lot more roomy to prospective buyers

That’s a great idea Joe Denise. I can sew basic things and do have a machine. So will see what fabric I have 👍
INOD….yes it makes sense to run the cupboards down. I’ll find it hard though 😂😂😂 I have very strong hoarding for an emergency tendency’s 😂😂
We’ve cleared the hall and staircase out ready for the workmen’s arrival tomorrow. There’s only a few storage boxes on shelves and a bookcase. I was surprised how many books were on said shelves. They’re mostly cookery books and will be culled before they get put back on the shelves. There are also a fair few cds, plus some old maps the library were getting rid at least 20 years ago 🥴😳 I don’t think Dh has ever opened any of the said maps since he acquired them….and not entirely sure why he was so pleased with his purchases at the time….but I bet he will be reluctant to get rid. I did say we have to be ruthless and only keep things that’ll earn their fare on the journey down South if/or when we make it.
Ds has just face timed us and given us a virtual tour of his new abode….😳😳OMG I hope he hasn’t taken on more than he can chew. I’m keeping my positive head on and am sure it’ll be lovely once it’s done…..just the process of doing it 🥴😯😂 I think the first step is bulldozing several out houses and garages and seeing if he can make one room into a bed sit whilst everything happens around him 😯😯
I haven’t spent any cash for several days but am heading to the big city tomorrow for lunch and to see the show Barnham. I’m looking forward to it. Dh will be home for the builders and I’ll be at home on Thursday whilst he goes out 👍

The workmen came on time, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves…..aaaannnnnddddd….they didn’t even have a brew 😳😳😳😂😂 Don’t think I’ve ever come across that before 😂😂
I’ve been awake since 3 ds was heading to Scotland to do a job and had set his alarm for 4.15. I was paranoid about oversleeping so got up at 5 when Dh went out. I’d had my breakfast and dinner by 10.30 😂😂and a 2nd dinner soon afterwards.
My ankle has been really playing up this last week….it’s not been as bad as this for a long time. So I’ve had a lazy day. Catching up with some phone calls and crocheting. I’ve been watching an old sitcom com which has kept me amused. I went to see Barnham in the big city nearby yesterday and only walked a short way along the road from the tram station to the restaurant then a couple of doors along to the theatre and I could barely put my foot on the floor. It’s so annoying. Barnham was ok but hadn’t matched the spectacular show I’d had in my head.
I don’t believe how expensive Pizza Express was yesterday £30 barring a few coppers for lasagne, salad and 2 cups of tea 😳😳😳 The ice cream tubs were just short of £5 in the theatre 😳😳😳😳 My friend asked if I wanted one whilst she was going….i was expecting £3 - I won’t fall for that again 😡It all came from my spends pot so wasn’t a problem but I felt ripped off 😡January spends - £587.583
