We’ve got another couple of viewers booked…..1 is coming for a 2nd time 🤞

🤣🤣🤣🤣what did I say about looking forward to some time at home. I’ve been out every day this week with friend and ds then yesterday I went to singing and then onto my brothers. He is doing well after his recent surgeries but it has taken its toll on him.

My dress arrived and I have a knitted jacket I wore at dds wedding- you’d have thought they were meant to go together the colour is a perfect match to one of the darker shades in the dress. So I’m really pleased. I haven’t tried it on 🥴 it was a tad snug in the shop but I’m on a mission to get rid of some chub so I’m leaving it a few weeks in the hope I’ll be surprised 🤣🤣

I went out at 8.30 yesterday walked half way to singing as Dh dropped me off on his way to work. I went for a cuppa after singing with friends and then caught a train to big city so I could jump on the tram to see brother. I picked up a meal deal of sushi and pineapple for the snack element. I had an oasis drink….(brother would have offered me something but it’s usually a sandwich and cake….i wanted to be in control👍) Then on the way home I met gh and we went to spoons. I picked one of the 500 cal dishes…..chicken bites and salad so even though I’m eating out I’m trying to be aware of what I’m eating…..operation blue dress.
Id walked along a path that had a sideward camber and it did my ankles no good at all…by the the time I arrived home I could hardly put my foot on the floor. It’s driving me mad. The minute I walk on an uneven surface it sets them off. There’s a lot of painkillers that just don’t agree with me and the anti inflammatory gel and paracetamol just aren’t touching it. I think I’ll get in touch with the gp after the bank holiday to see if there’s a different route I can go down….

I’m not planning on doing much this week…..pottering and keeping the house spick and span 🤣🤣

I’m getting to the end of my yougov cash in…the cynic in me is wondering if the surveys will slow down. I’ve also been scanning my receipts and have just purchased new memory for my phone via Google rewards 👍 every little helps.

Good news on the viewings. It only takes one.
Good luck with operation dress. My friends wedding is a week today. I have no jacket or cardigan so hopefully it will be nice.

Im going on a cruise next week and needed 2 dresses for the celebration nights onboard. I dreaded going shopping for them as A. not many shops to chose from now, B. If your a size 12 or 14 chances of getting a dress in that size is hit or miss and finally C. I prefer a simple stylish style that you can wear in years to come. So off I went with not with much hope and the first shop I went into I found both dresses, to say I was shocked was an understatement. Now need more events to go to the next couple of years to get my use out of them.

Good luck with the viewings, it’s a stressful time and hope you have a buyer soon.

I used the leg of lamb we’d bought at Easter today. Dh boned it and half was used for roasting the rest was made into his curry for the freezer. It was rather delicious. We don’t have lamb unless it’s on offer and I’ve not had just roast lamb and mint sauce for a long, long time. The last few times we’ve had lamb I’ve made Jamie Oliver’s lamb with preserved lemon and chickpea…..in fact I haven’t made that since I dropped it on the floor and burnt my arms last summer 😯

We went to a market place in a town not too far away yesterday, It’s famous for its meat and fish market. I only bought a side of salmon…..bargainous £12 at the end of the day and a box of Dorset farm cereal for £1…..it’s got a short date but it’ll be used quickly 😀

Operation blue dress is going well. I had a pitta with bacon and tomato for breakfast. A roast lamb dinner with meat and mainly veg with just a couple of small roasties and tablespoon of gravy. Followed by strawberries and yoghurt- I resisted the ice cream 😇

I want to pay my cc in full later. Not much more to report. Feeling a tad flat after the excitement of the last few weeks. 🤣🤣 but its nice not to have to be anywhere or do anything.

I nipped into local town on the bus with Dh yesterday. There was a train in the station celebrating 200 years of the railways. We weren’t sure what to expect but it was quite good….aimed at children really but lots of interesting history snippets. There was also an art exhibition about the music history and recording studios in the town. I knew a lady I used to work with had contributed artwork but wow - I hadn’t realised how much she had contributed. It’s quite nice to see the work of somebody you know. She is a talented lady.
By the time I got home I could barely put my foot on the floor. We had missed the bus so walked home. We went in the park half way and had a cuppa whilst we watched the skateboarders for a rest.It was fascinating. The skate park was put in a few years ago and get some bad press, it was very busy and it was lovely to see the kids helping each other out. Some of the stunts 🥴😯👍There was no sign of any trouble whatsoever….just kids and a few dads having fun.
I should have gone to a local NT place today with a friend for a walk and to see a Rembrandt piccy that’s on show for a while. There should have been 3 of us. I only know I lady to say hi to and I know the other can stride out and enjoy a long brisk walk. I cancelled…..there’s no way I could keep up and i didnt want to hinder them. My ankle was so sore. So I did my washing and ironing and tidied up an already tidy house so it’s not a big job should we get anymore viewings. We now have a 2 coming for 2 nd viewings.
I was totally peed off and went online to get a GP appointment. She phoned back this afternoon. I do wish they’d read the info before phoning back. I’d stated quite clearly that I couldn’t tolerate most of the stronger painkillers. She said she was just about to suggest a codeine based one then realised I’d said I couldn’t take it 😯😯😯 so she is going to get advice and will get back to me. Waste of time comes to mind…..surely she’d have been better to read the info correctly and take advice before phoning me 🤷🏻‍♀️ Never mind at least it’s in the system now. She asked about steroid injections but they’ve already tried them….they work great in my hips but it took 5 attempts to get it in my ankle because it’s misshapen and it only lasted 2 weeks. I’m guessing she’ll come back with some sort of patches.
Operation Blue dress had to contend with a bag of crisps and some chocolates today because I was comfort eating. I need to get back in ‘the zone’
I am going to the cinema to watch Michael….about Michael Jackson, later but that’s in a car to the door and then we’ll be sitting watching the film. Quite looking forward to it.

I loved the film Michael. It was the story of his early days. The actors were amazing and I forgot I was watching actors rather than Michael Jackson himself, it was his nephew who played him. I went with my friend who got in for £5 on my membership. We had pizza between us and I got 20% off that too 😄
I should have gone out to see a friend this morning but I cancelled again. Blooming ankles 😡

They say everything happens for a reason 😄
I didn’t go out today because my ankle is rubbish again. A neighbour got in touch and asked if I wanted an egg chair 😄 it belonged to her mum, who passed away earlier this year. They’re bringing it over tomorrow afternoon. Had I gone out I’d have missed the chance and it could have gone to one of the other neighbours. It’s in good condition and they wouldn’t take any money for it so I’ll make a donation to the charity they support 😄
Ds phoned and is coming around to fill me in on the latest developments in his house move.
    So I’m pleased I stayed in 😄
