I went to the local theatre/cinema yesterday. They called it a ‘silver screening’ There were 6 of us and we saw Yanks. I’ve never actually seen it right the way through before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was filmed around the area I live and was lovely to see some very recognisable landmarks. It was excellent value £7 including a drink and little packet of biscuits (which I brought home with me) We went in the art deco cafe after the film. I thought the lady who organised it had ordered one of the lovely small afternoon teas they do but I was very pleased to hear she’d just booked a table. So I had a jacket potato 😇 I’m determined to shed the 2 lb I put on over Easter and my holiday…..and I’m going out for a 6 course meal at weekend.
I need to pay my cc and pay for tickets to see a show in October later….otherwise everything is ticking over nicely financially 👍

I only shop at Mr M for heavy stuff and I get staff discount courtesy of DD working for them. Everything else I get from Lid!.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

We tend to go to whichever shop has the best offers at the moment.

The other half's Sainsburys card must be flagging up some odd buying patterns at the moment, all he seems to be buying from there is beer, coffee bags and ostrich :)

    Where has the time gone.
MSE wise I’ve paid my cc in full…..however it had quite a bashing as I went a bit mad at the garden centre. I do enjoy my garden though and it’s beginning to get back to when it looked good.
I’d spent a M&S voucher a while back which I’d acquired from doing surveys and I was feeling smug that I’d bought new underwear 😚…..well I wasn’t so smug when I realised they were very tight and I barely wore them…..I knew I’d been piling the pounds on but didn’t think I’d put so much on 😳😳 I was ironing and putting clothes away  when I noticed the size on said pants 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’d only picked a pack up that was 2 sizes smaller 😂😂😳😳😂😂 so that was a waste of money. Hopefully they’ll fit Dd - I’d only worn 1 pair….so not so money saving after all.
I had a near miss when I nearly ended up in A& E at weekend. I was cooking lamb in tomatoes, chickpea and herbs and had taken it out of the oven to check. As I was putting it back I dropped it 😳 The liquid went up my arms….i got them in tepid, then cold water antraight away  and spent most of the evening with my arms in the sink. Then I had cold wet tea towels wrapped around them. All my days in St John’s Ambulance kicked in and I did it without thinking. It was a lot calmer the following morning (I didn’t sleep much) but I do have a blister on my wrist. I was so lucky. Just shows leaving them in cold water really does pay off. Just need to keep my eye on the blister to make sure it doesn’t get infected. I’ve still got some red marks on the other arm but it isn’t sore or hot. I did laugh though ……the kitchen looked like a bloodbath with tomato everywhere 😳 I was in by myself and managed to clear up and save the lamb and put it back in the oven….in between putting my arms in and out of the sink 👍 Dh took over when he got home.
My back has been very stiff recently so I’m not sure what happened….my geip has gone rubbish and I have to take the weight of things on my good arm….so I think it was a combination of things that made me drop it. I had to get my trainers in the washing machine quickly but I was so pleased I had them on as I often have bare feet in the house - I dread to think what state I’d have been in had I not had them on. So I consider myself a lucky lady 😃
Im finally going on a felting class I had to cancel before Christmas tomorrow. I’m travelling with a friend on the train so I’m really looking forward to it. I thought we’d lost it as it took ages for the teacher to get back to us.
Were going away on Sunday for a week in Millie Motorhome 🚍😃

That sounds very painful Milann.  I ended up using bio oil on my hot water burn scar, once the nasty blister etc had gone, which helped a lot.
