So glad you got a scan done.... I wouldn't have a clue how to go about booking a private scan? Hope everything is OK when the results come back. The doctors sounds horrendous .... since when did receptionists start diagnosing.... wonder if any have been sued..???I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Dearest @Watty1, what appalling treatment from the surgery! So glad you got the scan. Know you've got a lot on, but if you felt like taking this further, you'd be doing the area a great service! Your decisions on the house make sense, as ever. How far are you thinking of moving? Would VNM come too? You are simply fab. Love Humdinger xx5

Aww thank you for your lovely support. I didn't ride yesterday as was shattered, came back and fell asleep. Will do a little bit of work today because I have a talk to deliver later in the month and I want it to be good as (drumroll) the place is paying me and quite a bit too!
Having to change doctor would be no great loss I must say. I am also a little worried for the elderly gentleman in the queue in front of me as he was also turned away and was clearly very embarrassed and from what I overheard he clearly has a significant issue that needed investigations.
Luckily I knew of the private scan place at £70 from years ago and interviewing google they were still there (they do private ultrasounds for pregnant ladies mostly). The VNM interviewed google and found a local private hospital that would fit me in on Tuesday but it would have been a lot more, and, I have a solution within budget so all good and in a few weeks I will know what is going on and will try not to worry until better informed as nothing is achieved by worry at this point.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Awful behaviour on the surgery side - it’s so hit and miss !My GP has a really good HRT specialised drs and are happy to get blood tests etc - however my friend who lives not far away in a ‘posher ‘area her gp keeps telling her she doesn’t need blood tests for hrt?!? It’s only been my experience that has made her really have to fight for proper medical attention
hope you have a lovely weekend and are pain freeDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Lovely Easter so far. Yesterday cleared feed room out for Spring and it looks very smart now. VNM put up another hook I found and then I did a little in the haybarn so that is now Spring ready too. Rode CC locally then gave him a shower. The bath/shower wasted because he went out and rolled immediately
This morning began clearing the small barn used to store "stuff" Thrown away a few bits then took Charming Cob to a local forest.
England's Forests will soon be free to use for horse riders - currently we have to pay a permit. This sounds great, but, it means they will no longer provide horse box parking so I wanted to make sure I get a ride in before the parking is lost. So few riders will be able to use the forests now, it really was a way of them limiting access whilst sounding "nice". So sad. No permits mean they no longer will allow parking for horseboxes. Enjoyed the bluebells which was a spring hope - that I would ride him out and see bluebells and today that was a win. He may only be walking these days but I loved the forest ride.

That's sad about the limited access. The ride sounds like a delight though: you wouldn't want to go too fast while enjoying the bluebells.
My Mum used to tell me about riding in the forest (for her it was Epping Forest). She said you could get close up to the deer so long as you stayed silent, as they only saw the horses. I think forest rides were one of her greatest pleasures.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
