WattyDog can come for a walk with me and my dog. She can't be kept out of the river.... keeps jumping in to chase geese upstream... she's going to regret it one day...

Sorry about the friend trouble Watty. I'll say again though that we have some wonderfully priced property in Northern Ireland and lovely friendly people on North Coast. I've found them to be so welcoming of us English!Mortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years

That is sad Watty but it sounds like they were in your life for a good reason at a good time, and now you're ready for a different time so can leave them with affection and appreciation of what you've had together
That sounds well dodgy of her partner @skint_spice, you're doing right by keeping the limited friendship up so she has someone to turn to if she needs to5 -

skint_spice said:One of my friends is a bit like that - “ I can see you 8 weeks on Thursday at 6pm”. I just go with it now as we were best mates, I think her partner doesn’t like that I am single. I am not on the hunt for myself so goodness knows why he thinks I would lead her astray. He has put air tags on her phone and keys because apparently she keeps losing them but it seems suss to me.As for the dog walking… no swimming allowed??? Poor dogs!
go figure. When she has seen me apparantly she goes home and is very bolshy towards him (i.e she stands up to him when he bullies her). I also just go with it but it's sad. Oh and he put a tracker in her car once and also a recording device....she rang me sobbing one day moaning about him and he'd listened to the entire thing and went mad. Some people are in crazy relationships.

Your poor friend @skint_spice I do hope you can be there when she needs you because that is just awful. Poor woman. And yours too @debtfreewannabe321 What we will put up with is surprising, but, I know some of us will put up with a lot before we finally call time.
@Viking_mfw WattyDog on his way. He is certain, between them they will manage a few geese! He is irrepressible and I love that he encourages naughty behaviour in others.
My favourite ‘dog walk’ was one where a “handbag dog” came – it really is the smallest dog but she hurled herself in the stream after WattyDog whilst the owner in a panic stricken mode worries the dog cannot swim. Finally hauled out by me, little dog is livid and tells WattyDog off, clearly furious about his human! She sounded like a squeaky toy. Funnily enough if it had been her owner that complained I might have understood but the tiny scrap and WattyDog became firm friends although the rough play was so worrying because of the size difference.
As for moving, well @barginunter no where is off limits now so I will look at Northern Ireland. All a bit theoretical at the moment as lots to sort out but I’m reading adverts and looking at areas.
I think a few of you nailed it. The friends were for a time, and that time has passed. I thought they we would always be friends but it seems not. However, they helped me after PPH and maybe now is a time of change.
Thank you for all being there.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!11 -
