Thanks for the lovely votes of support re the safety net for the bills.
I was as delighted about the little boy taking the scrap metal "to make things" and saying how useful the wheels on the trolley jack would be. To me that nicely summed up my life: PPH only took what he could sell or was useful to him. He left everything else for me to deal with. I left it out hoping someone would benefit, expecting it to be the scrap collectors locally but actually it was a child who was so happy with the finds and so polite in asking.
It seems a better way to be in the world and I get to embrace that.
Must dash, off for scans at the hospital. VNM keeps reassuring me I must not worry, which of course has the opposite effect but he means well and he cares and is kind. As a treat I will pop into a cafe near the hospital after scans that is a local mental health charity. Looking forward to that as it has a lovely sustainable garden too where they grow food for the cafe.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
