One person signed up so that is a little more to the pension pot. #financial goals
Yesterday I found a free app I had downloaded a long time ago on my phone and in a break from the working day used it to meditate. Only 10 mins but then I used the getting ready for bed 3 mins at bed time. I slept well, feel better this morning so will repeat today #health goals
On @LadyWithAPlan thread I was reminded of the Pete Walker C-PTSD book so I have found that and put out to continue reading. I've tried to read this so many times, I do find it overwhelming but also PPH made a big thing about how I didn't need it but he did (!!). I think it will help, I might see if I can find it on one of those summary apps tho. Shorter would be better for me right now.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Sometimes the summary is all you need. I hope it gives you the track to follow to find your own path to healing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I am just dipping in and out the CPTSD book as I need
I am normally a read a book from cover to cover immediately kinda La Plan but it’s dense and I find is bringing up stuff so I am happy to be reading it in chunks - currently a chapter at a time - and practising the compassion
I gather a lot of people re read it a few times over - it’s a life’s work really so either get a summary or just read a small section each day /week
so pleased for you on the course !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Diet plan and hypnosis and meditation seem to be helping. I'm feeling a little better.
Second week of course, I felt that today's session went really well, I was pleased with it and someone rang me to say they had enjoyed it. Wow, what a boost that was, the work seems worth it when not only did my pension pot get a boost but people are actually thinking it worth the money they have paid (that was one of my worries).
I've withdrawn from the police volunteer role. I passed the interview stages and just had to go to the vetting. It was possible that my former arrest might have stood against me, but, actually my decision not to volunteer was more based on time, and an honest review is that I just do not have the time at this point. Recognising that and honouring that my mental health would do better for sitting in the sun with a good book than volunteering at this time meant i withdraw. I had a lovely email from the PC in charge of the programme asking if there was anything he could do to address specific concerns which was kind.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Knowing when we have enough on the plate before us is a valuable talent. I hope you are managing that time in the sun with a good book, and I'm glad your plan to support your mental health is bearing fruit. Stick with it!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Knowing what you can cope with at any one time is really important. I am sure it was the right thing for you.
I wrote to the exam board yesterday, and withdrew from my exam that was to be on Saturday. Although my husband is home from hospital, he is not back to normal and I am definitely in the space where my Dad's death from pancreatic cancer has yet to go back to a part of my memory that is not taking up all of my headspace when I try to concentrate on anything needing my full focus. I lose the £45 but I have room and space to focus now. Having also spoken to the hospital yesterday, Mr Sl is likely to be called by the end of March so we have told my Mum we can't come after all. She understands.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I don't know what volunteering for the police would involve, but it certainly doesn't strike me as an option that won't bring stress in some form, whether your own or dealing with others who are stressed, and you don't need any more of that in your life.I volunteer with the National Trust in the potwash of their cafe, which is busy, but actually quite fun! I've been the sort of person who got quite stressed when work was busy in the past, but I manage to keep very calm now, even when it's incredibly busy in the school holidays.
