I have been trying to do a 'day of fun and rest' @Cherryfudge which got a bit derailed when I got ill. A book is due to arrive today or tomorrow that I ordered whilst ill. Whilst sick I spent a lot of time just scrolling and found myself looking at all sorts of things. Advent calendars full of beauty products, clothes, books, boots - I consider myself lucky the only thing that found its way out of my shopping baskets was a cookery book. I'm actually quite looking forward to this one as it is about meal prepping in advance and freezing in bags which then defrost and go into the slow cooker.
If the book is any good it should provide some inspiration. I'm thinking that, with shorter days and winter just over the horizon I need to meal plan a bit better than I currently am. Also, very aware I might get snowed in so a couple of weeks worth of meals not to be touched until March should be planned for.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I've only used one of the wigs so far, it is a part wig, so clips in and integrates with my own hair and I absolutely love it. I'm wearing the long blond one which is the one I thought I would be too nervous to wear, but, I've worn it and been seen by friends who dont even realise it is fake! Because it clips into my own hair it takes a bit of fiddling to get right, but I feel like my personality and confidence has come back. Yesterday I had fun, teaching on line whilst wearing that with large earrings I bought when I was 20 and a big fluffy cardigan (gangsters moll style) from a charity shop. Indeed it does make sense dearest @Watty1! One hidden effect of toxic relationships is that you can be under an unspoken (but real and heavy) pressure to hide or suppress who you really are. You're now letting your light shine and gosh you're wonderful. Love Humdinger xx7

I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread

Dont forget to send any old but still OK bras to the charity “Smalls for all “ rather than bin them
i bought 3 new bras and was surprised to get an email from M. And S to say I was fitted 6 months ago and should really go for another fitting as our size can change every 6 months ! Thought that was a tad excessive !5 -
