I despair every time I try to buy new bras. I don't like padded. I find underwired really uncomfortable. I don't want to pay £50 for a single bra. This doesn't seem to leave any options, apart from seeing these miracle-designed bras peddled on Facebook. I was nearly tempted about a week ago, but realised that if they don't fit, the return address was China....... I am wearing some really old bras I got from M&S several years ago, but they don't do them anymore, and they are getting pretty scrotty now.Make £2025 in 2025

I've probably said before but I've recently discovered m n s bras for after surgery- very comfortable, no underwires, decent back/under band, soft material etc. Comfort of a sports bra without quite as much restriction. Not worn the wired one I still have in my drawer since I bought a couple of these ones. Did wonder if I 'should' buy these, but then reasoned if its comfy and loads of us buy them without having had surgery, the increase in sales of them compared to traditional bras might encourage design of other comfy bras

I would just like an everyday bra where the shoulder straps came out of the centre of the cup & not from the sides so they keep trying to fall off your shoulders. I can't be the only one that MnS has told to have this size bra & put a several inch extension in the back. I had been doing that for years but my sister said that was unacceptable & she would buy me a proper one for my birthday.& I said she would have to come with me. I did mostly succeed at keeping a straight face.5

Thats a great idea badmemory, I'd never thought of that!

Smalls for All will be getting some of my usable but not fitting bras. And those that are somehow associated with my past life as I want to ditch those and the energy that they hold.
Like so many of you I have given up trying to buy bras but a pal from running club had mentioned her experience with a woman that runs her own business so off I went. Fitting was in what was best described as a garden shed with more bras than most department stores. After a chat about my likes and dislikes and why I often wear vest tops she quickly sized up the one I was wearing as band size 4 inches too large and cup size 3 sizes too small. Rubbish I thought but she was so correct.
I tried on lots, with different sizes according to brand, saying what i did and and didn't like and with her finding more to try that would work. So much better than on line shopping or wandering aimlessly around a department store. I ordered 4 of the bras I tried so will soon have 3 bras that fit and a properly fitting sports bra for running. She doesn't hold stock as the shed shelves are for people to try). Bras will be ordered and posted out so then I get to try them on, she suggested for a couple of hours to make sure I am really happy with choices. There was no pressure to buy anything so it was a nice shopping experience.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

That sounds amazing Watty, what a find!
Another one here wearing poorly fitting and uncomfortable bras just because buying bras is horribly expensive, or horribly miserable, and usually bothhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

That sounds like a great solution Watty. I've always found local independent specialists much better than the chains.3

That sounds fantastic. Wish there was something like that here

What a super-useful service! A shop local to me had a proper bra fitter and she explained to me that even the same make can differ in fit between different styles. I wish the shop was still there as I think I need to be properly fitted again.
