Thank you. It dawned on me this morning this was the point of the frugal lifestyle (ahem I do know it is not particularly frugal) but that the money that comes in can be spent well rather than randomly.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -
Thats EXACTLY the point. Money spent deliberately on the right things, doesn't matter thats a pound or a hundred. Frugal isn't defined by a particular amount of money.

Helped friend move yesterday. And also saw a really good friend, who commented how thick my hair seemed and how much she loved the colour
I know her well and she is young so I said there were a lot of clip in extensions there and she thought it was a great idea. Everyone else who saw me thought it was all natural hair so all good.
I also started saying yes to everyone who offered to help friend and giving them just one job. Apparently I am very bossy LOL but I stuck to my line that people knew why she was leaving her husband and would not offer help if they did not mean it, I didn't give them a job that meant they would be there all day, just simple stuff like please could you help my VNM dismantle the bed and put it in the lorry, please can you help put all that small stuff in the car and then thanking them and letting them get on with their day.
As a result friend in rented place and able to unpack by mid afternoon (before I left I made sure her bed was set up and food in kitchen and dog beds in place).
And after spending the day with her I am behind at work so will need to catch up on here later. Course teaching day today and a lot more work to be done. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this pace up

It's lovely your friend had friends to help her, I hope she's had a restful night.
Could you prescribe yourself a 'Sabbath' - a day of rest once a week when you take a proper break? It would give you recovery time and some time to enjoy your blessings. I do understand that you want to push on with earning and establishing yourself and building for the future, but take time to enjoy where you are, as well!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Well done for helping your friend 💓
On the WhatsApp chat, I am constantly muting groups 🫣. I didn't know we could change ring tone for each one. I will go see if I can figure that one out.
