Thanks KK. The premium bonds started as a running away fund with PPH but never really got out of the starting block until I really did run away. Putting windfalls and sales in and now the regular saving into them as created a great safety net.
Yesterday I was discussing my business with someone and actually reviewed the figures. I've done really well since leaving PPH. Not bad considering I was constantly told I would not manage without him and his income.
I thanked the VNM, he has been a huge support from little things like cooking a meal when I am busy to the really big things like helping do up the house. Apparently, according to him, it is just part of being in a good relationship with a normal man.
I am so often struck with how life has changed and continues to change.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I am exhausted. Took yesterday off, rode, coffee and cake at church with friends then an afternoon nap and watching a bit of TV. Easy dinner as fish we were having not defrosted so popped out and bought some ready cooked chicken and salad.
Woke up today to a phone bleeping away, a friend who is leaving her husband next week (I'm helping with the move) has discovered their mortgage is interest only with no plans for repayment so her financial future somewhat insecure and understandably concerned; another friend is seriously ill so I offered my PA to help fix a problem with her website so she doesn't have to worry. I will pay my PA to do the work and there was what I can only describe as an explosion of WhatsApp messages from someone else telling me about all the issues and then finally FellPony person wants to give up with him. Not sure what to do about any of this.
Telling myself things come in three and thats my 3 for now. Came to work today as will be out of office two days next week so need to catch up and clear in box. Phew!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Sorry to hear its all descended at once.
Not sure it really matters the mortgage is interest only if they are splitting up? Won't house just get sold or one buy the other out? Mortgage surely either be paid off with sale or be changed to single name? Maybe she thought there'd be more paid off and they'd each get a higher share? Anyway, help as much as you can but ultimately its not your problem.
Hopefully your pa will be able to help the website. Forward on the WhatsApp messages and tell the person to contact her direct. Maybe also state to friend and the other person (and pa) that you're happy to help up to x hours or whatever, so it doesn't become a week's wages you're forking out to help.
Not so good about fellpony. Go back to your original plan of selling? Keep him for now?
Meantime deep breaths, remind yourself 2 of these problems aren't really your problems, you've done the leaving thing and got your life sorted out for the better, your pals will sort themselves out and while its nice to offer help - own oxygen mask first !
I pmd you but I can see you'll have had no extra headspace for my nonsense just now 😆

Agree with everything Daisy said.Just to add, do you know why Fell Pony’s person wants to give up? Is there anything you can do to support FP’sP?Also, splitting up friend … You were in a similar position when PPH moved on and dropped you in it. Might be worth reminding her of that at some point, and that you are living proof that financial recovery is possible, through a lot of hard work!

Thanks! I thought about it when I'd finished trawling though it all and came to the conclusion I survived, friend will, and I have helped find her a wonderful place to live on the farm I lived at during split with PPH. The rest is not my problem. I'm sorry she will not have the life she currently has but it is clearly a house of cards anyway and she is going to have to figure that out. I did. Hard work and all that.
As for the friend out of the UK, I have offered a solution and I will leave it there.
Fell Pony - his person has been offered an ex racing thoroughbred - she is young and I think that is more exciting. I've decided worrying about FellPony isn't going to change the outcome. I may sell him but I am also very aware I have a very happy little herd of three so perhaps I'll just park that one for now. Most Handsome and Charming Cob like him. I could sell him, he certainly has a lovely little CV thanks to his person but perhaps given I have no idea about where I am going and how perhaps the little herd should remain as is. Stability is good. No big changes.
Once I had it all straight it seemed less of an issue. I'm also turning sound on WhatsApp off so I don't get drawn into anymore drama for the weekend. I have a busy week ahead and I need to focus on me.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
