WOW! You've all been very creative and very busy since I last popped in xxxxxgreentiger - I love the bags
What an absolutely super idea! Everyone needs a bag and a purse xxxx
I've been so good this year and spent only £4 on printed canvasses from the charity shop which I recycled into 3D paintings for a couple of friends as Christmas gifts. Everything I've made, I've used only items from my left over stash or foraged for natural pine cones, holly, pine branches, berries etc. I dried off my lavender from the garden, so lots of smelly bags for the wardrobe & pillow made up along with throwing some in handmade soap blocks.I already had a stash of soap to melt but if I needed to replace it, that stash is quadrupal the cost I originally paid and would skyrocket the price per bar up to £2.50Seriously?!
As for the decluttering selling, well I've fully decluttered the house and sold all the items I needed to shift.I'm almost through the last black bag of my mothers clothing items she asked me to sell for her with offers that have just arrived to finish off the bag and stop the selling today - Hooray!I've managed to make £486.45 for her but she won't know until Monday, which was our agreement, how much I made. She'll be chuffed to bits
I do have to say, I'm on my knees with all the selling and delighted it's finally over, for now. Just as well as we've got days of rain here and I'm not going to do anymore inpost runs, it's RM collection only for tomorrow & Saturday, if needed. Then, I'm not available until Christmas! Curtain over the front door and that's where it's staying for the next 2 weeksThe daily deliveries along this country road over the past 4 days, have been utterly ridiculous! That's commercialism for you and the Scam Friday Sales, which seem to be ongoing.......I'm fully on track to complete my challenge of a Totally FREE Christmas. I found 2 bottles of non-alchoholic wine laying on their side in the sideboard today which were given to me through this year and I'd forgotten about, along with a 400 Year Cadburys Celebration 1kg bar of Chocolate I won in July, still well in date
I'm not sure that'll make it to Christmas now that I know about it!
Popping off now lovies as final things to pack for the RM collection tomorrow. I hope everyone has a super evening - Toodle-Pip for now xxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD August 6/20 (7 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing - 1 x £25 Voucher Redeemed, 20 FREE Books of RM Stamps & Presentation Packs.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1934.34 / £2025 (95.5%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £14,986.67 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing7 -

I have been very crafty, but only counting one thing- a Christmas t shirt for small boy. I have also made two hats, but only because the small boy is grumpy and really not up for much except quietly playing Lego by himself (and he's not even made it to Christmas yet...). He'd made one hat himself for one of his teachers, but the other teacher and teaching assistant hats were cut out but not made. He's given the hat he made to his favourite teacher, and I made the other two for him.
I also went to a craft class last night and made two jesmonite tree decorations and a very pretty little plant pot. I also slipped and bought a set to make some Xmas coasters- bad of me when I already have a kit I bought last Christmas and haven't made yet!!!! I had drunk a bit by that point (craft and sip- very risky when it was the pub directly across the road from me 😂).
I don't think I will reach my target this year, but I have ticked off quite a few bits from my to do list and made a noticeable dent in my stash, so I am pleased, even with the odd slip up.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

It has got to be the longest and hardest emotional and physically challenging 12 months I have ever endured so far in my lifetime. There are simply, no words.....Anyway, I don't want to wallow. I'm taking each day as it comes and setting realistic daily goals that I can achieve without any stress. My FREE Christmas is all ready to go and I've not spent a single penny on Christmas this yearMy goal for 2025 is the 'No Spending Year'Katiehound Well Done with all the duvets. Super idea xxxx I'm still waiting for my adult PJ set from emsi_b
Aside from the main essentials, bills & food, plus any emergencies, which funds have already been set aside for, I'm not spending a single penny. I thought my FREE Christmas was a great personal challenge, but I can't wait for 2025. I would so LOVE to complete the 'No Spend Year' challenge and still try and cut down even more than the living budget I've set. Talk about getting back to raw basics
It would certainly make all my MSE saving money challenges and NSD's easier and more fun!
Makes me sleepy just thinking about it and now I've realised that it's late and I need to try and get some sleep.
Good night all & God bless xxxx Super crafty efforts everyone and here's hoping for a smooth stress free week in the lead up to fully bolting the the front door, pulling the curtain over, and telling everyone you're not in over Christmas!Bah Humbug!

@Dizzycap I am so sorry that you have had such a bad year.my sister passed quite suddenly early in the year and then DH had op to remove a cancerous pollop. Looks uccessful so far thankfully. You certainly find out how strong you are during these times. It's one day at a time. My sister was a crafter and I inherited some of her crafting bits.she has been with me all through the lead up to Christmas as I made my cards with her cut outs.i have even found myself talking to her. Stay strong.
I am fascinated to know how you managed a free Christmas! That is amazing.please tell us morecraft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

I am fascinated to know how you managed a free Christmas! That is amazing.please tell us more@Soontobeoap Believe me, my year just got worse with the unexpected passing of a friends husband 10 days ago.I certainly agree that you certainly find out just how strong you are at these sobering times. However, for me this year every time some passes my immune system hits the decks and I get an infection & Shingles. Needless to say, that's exactly what's happenedSo shingle bells, shingle bells it is for Christmas this year. Still, it could be far worse......
I'm fortunate this year because it's just me and my mother together this Christmas and we decided early in December that the front door curtain would be drawn accross from tonight until the 27th and we're not in! We've done all the sociables for now and so it's phone off & PJ's for 3 daysI'm seriously thinking about cooking Christmas dinner tomorrow along with all the other joints of meat and be done with it! Cold meat portions in the fridge for Christmas day and the rest in portions in the freezer. I'll hold off on the Chrissy Pud until Christmas day, and that sounds like a plan!I will get around to posting how I achieved my Total FREE Christmas challenge in a few days when I feel a little better xxx Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas & a healthy & prosperous New Year xxx Ta-ta for now, lovies xx~ NSD 2025 - NSD August 6/20 (7 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing - 1 x £25 Voucher Redeemed, 20 FREE Books of RM Stamps & Presentation Packs.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1934.34 / £2025 (95.5%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £14,986.67 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing5
