2024 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Hello all! Back again. Very intermittent this year with actually doing crafting- seems to be a bit all or nothing. I have had an incredibly productive weekend- I have made 61 cards (!) I have had to buy double sided sticky tape and envelopes today as I ran out 😂
I also bought some fabric- some polar fleece for my son to make his teachers some beanies, and some bunting panels and Xmas patterned to copy the bunting shape and make more... £37 spent.
I can see dents in the stash now! One box which was in the cupboard can now squeeze in the papercrafts shelves (huzzah!). That is the grand plan- for everything to eventually fit in the places where it belongs, and not overflow elsewhere. I could do with buying the kallax drawer inserts to make better use of at least one part of the papercrafting shelves, but I'm really buoyed up buy the progress 😁

- There's always far too many distractions xx
Well, I've finally managed to offload just about all my unwanted art stash and filled the savings pot whilst doing it, so I've been very good at not spending a single penny all year until the need to buy a printed large canvas which I painted over with white acrylic ready to complete my final Christmas gift. It worked out far cheaper to buy a large printed canvas from my local charity shop for £4 rather than pay a hefty £28 for brand new.
I finally finished the piece today and I must say, I'm absolutely thrilled by the finished product:I'm also thrilled at having fully decluttered the house, garden & shed this year giving unwanted items to neighbours, charity shops, and also selling a huge 8.5 of very large black bins liners full of unused or been in the wardrobes for over 14 months without being worn items. Just got another 1.5 bags to go and I'm fully clutter FREE with almost 1k in the savings pot - Nice! That goes towards my 2025 challenge of save £2025 in 2025.As the silly season which usually begins at the beginning of December has already started, I might just have to stop selling the remainder of items online as I can't be doing with other peoples stress and/or disorganised Christmas shopping demands - you know, "Why hasn't my item been teleported to my house within 10 seconds of paying for it" or " Why did it take you 10 minutes to reply to my message" or the classic "I still haven't received my item" and they haven't paid for it, let alone for the postage to send it to them, kind of buyerTBH I really don't know whats happening with Royal Mail with their direct services & delayed deliveries when sending items by the PO / Sorting Office which seems to be worse than ever! I dread to think how long a 48 Hour tracked is going to take from now on. Throughout October it took 4 days for a 48 hour tracked RM parcel to be out for delivery - CRAZY. On the flip side, inpost locker drop offs for RM, Evri, Yodel, and Yodel and Evri store drop offs are whizzing to their destinations and are out for delivery/collection within 1-2 days.If anyone is really into knitting and crocheting, there seems to be a high demand for handmade ladies pullovers, in particularly multicoloured ones xxx I've just sold 2 brand new never worn within 5 minutes of listing themFood for thought ladies, although I do have to also include the talented lads xxThat's me done for the day, so ta ta for now, God bless everyone and goodnight sleep well to all xxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD August 6/20 (7 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing - 1 x £25 Voucher Redeemed, 20 FREE Books of RM Stamps & Presentation Packs.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1934.34 / £2025 (95.5%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £14,986.67 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing10 -
Dizzycap you are an inspiration. If you can sell it and save then so can I. Had been planning to start selling my excess craft things after Christmas as, like you, I can’t cope with the madness of the silly season. January had better watch out cos I’m going to be raring to go! thanks for the inspiration.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

January had better watch out cos I’m going to be raring to go! thanks for the inspiration.Go for it! I know you and everyone else can do it xxxxPersonally I'm listing until the middle of this month with the 3rd week of the month being the absolute last week for posting anything that sells and then I'm stopping until the New Year. December is an absolute no, no......
.
I plan on revamping / redrafting any unsold item info & pics throughout December, which I can calmly work on at my own pace whilst everyone else is going around like disorganised headless chickens, ready for, like you, the 3,2,1 blast off after ChristmasSeems like a fair and balanced non-stressful plan to me xxxx
I sent off 4 parcels this morning and thats it for the day. No night or early morning inpost trips as it's far too cold for me and my snuggly hoodie went on at 4pm and that's where its stayingWishing everyone a great evening. God bless and keep up the great efforts everyone xxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD August 6/20 (7 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing - 1 x £25 Voucher Redeemed, 20 FREE Books of RM Stamps & Presentation Packs.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1934.34 / £2025 (95.5%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £14,986.67 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing8 -

Another 4 cards made yesterday, so now up to 161/200. Thanks for the gumtree tip daisy, I will keep my eyes open on there. Dizzy, very inspiring! I've been slowly working through and decluttering/using things up this year, and I was so pleased that I managed to condense two boxes into one- all of the paper crafts stuff is officially only on the kallax!
Realised I hadn't uploaded the photo I took of the basket full of cards- so photo tax below
