Oh my that's amazing @daisy_1571 - you need to be super-organised with that many colour changes and thread combos. Good luck and looking forward to seeing your progress.
I collected my framed piece at the weekend. Very happy with it - photo to follow from my phone.
I have taken Haberdashery Shop off the frame, rolled it up and stored it. Can't face sorting it out right now and need to have another project to feel like I'm making some sort of progress. Went through the crocheted slipover with Mum and she told me what I needed to know, so going to try that sometime this week. Not tonight though as I've had wine as DH got told today that his job is at risk and likely to go by the end of the month. This will be the 3rd time in 8 years, and tbh he's just had enough now! We will be okay for a while but he's feeling quite down about it.
Hope you're all doing okay?

Rudolph pic looks great coxy. Dont give up on your haberdashery one, it was looking great but some other projects first are a good idea. Sorry to hear about Mr coxy and his job

@daisy_1571 you look super prepped now. That looks like an amazing design and the work will be worth it in the set up phase. @Coxy11 glad mum was able to help with the crochet. Rudolf looks great framed and ready for display. I’m sure you’ll come back to the Haberdashery shop, but it’s time will not be now. Some quick wins sound like what’s needed more at the moment. So sorry to hear about DH, what a shock. I know you said you will be alright but it’s still a readjustment potentially. Can understand why he was feeling down.

As I've just said on my my last post I have completed my x-stitch so I'll just tidy it up and hopefully post a photo! I'm looking forwards to seeing if I can 😀 I've written all the instructions down 🤣
I have been buying more silks to start a Xmas picture and I'm nearly there, so I'll send away for the material as I want to get it just right, it's even weave which I don't think I've used before so I'm looking forwards to it. So in the meantime I'm finishing a jumper off and starting the small gift card from the front of my x-stitch magazine.
You all stitch some lovely pictures, I'm hoping to achieve this one day. I think whilst I'm stitching the father Xmas I'll also stitch a few smaller ones so I don't get bored, does anybody else do this?

Hi all, quick update of ‘a year in the life of’. January all done. I’m just going to put it aside and make a start on ‘the best is yet to come’. Hi everyone,
Hope you’re all doing okay?
DH’s last day in his current job today….apparently….? The whole ‘process’ has been handled really badly. He’s still waiting on answers from HR about some of his queries and yet here we are.
Last night I joined the sides and shoulders of the crocheted slipover together, sewed in the ends and tried it on. Feels good. So next is the armholes, waistband and neckline, then blocking. I will have a go at the weekend in the daylight as we are at the cinema tonight and tomorrow.
Some great progress photos since I last posted.
I love the Year in the Life design @Charly27. Hope you found the threads for the Best is Yet to Come project J
Nice to switch between projects @Drawingaline. WWW is looking lovely.
You’ve made good progress in just a week @daisy_1571!
Looking forward to seeing your photos @nannygladys and yes, good idea to have some smaller projects on the go. Must remember this myself. Evenweave is lovely to work on once you get used to the flow of it.
Take care all
Coxy
