Fab crafting @AlwaysAllie and I love the idea to recycle/upcycle too. Do you do craft fairs or sell online?
The framed pieces look amazing @Drawingaline and Looe Harbour is coming along nicely. I can concur with being time poor and the anti-social element to cross stitching when you have others to consider. We are currently binge watching a series on Netf!ix. Just started season 2 of 6 and there are 13 x 30 minute episodes. Can’t cross stitch at the same time as I use a lamp and have to sit away from the TV!
Your tooth sounds so painful @Drawingaline - don’t blame you for wanting shot of it ☹️
My exciting(?!) news is that I dropped the Rudolf sampler off at the framers last Saturday. Told them no rush! £72 though ouch!!! Will photograph it once it’s back.No progress on anything crafty this week. We are out at lunchtime today for cheese and wine tasting courtesy of DD so definitely won’t be picking anything crafty up later! Tomorrow is earmarked for gardening if not too Siberian outside. We will see.Hope everyone is doing okay and managing to stay warm and safe.Coxy xxCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings3 -

And I ‘found’ a piece of wood in a tree….as you do 😂….it was on the river’s edge so assume it got washed down in the recent flood. Will be made into something later……

All your photos are lovely, there's some really professional work going on, puts my little efforts to shame, it's a good job I don't know how to put photos on here yet🤣 I will have a look though. I received my X stitch magazine subscription today, DD bought it for me as part of my Xmas present, and it had a free 'elmer' elephant as the free gift, so as she had a baby in October I'm thinking of incorporating into a cushion for the baby, which won't be needed anytime some🤣🤣🤣, gives me plenty of time to complete it!

Nannyg up close mine don't look as good 😂, but from the sofa they do look like prints.
How I stitched changed a lot between the Great Wave and Cherry Blossom. I started watching people on YouTube and picked up loads of hints and tips. I have been cross stitching on and off for over 20 years, (huge gap of about a decade!) And I think there is always room to learn. I prefer to be a speedy stitcher, some of the stitching I see on YouTube is simply stunning, but these people seem to take a long time to make these amazing pieces, I am definitely a quantity over quality person. I am only really stitching for me, or for close family, so perfection isn't needed.
Allie, love your crafting. I lack imagination with crafts which is why I am happy to stick to cross stitch kits and patterns. Also I have a hubby with a space eating hobby, so my hobby cannot take up too much space as well!!!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Amazing work everyone, love the framed great wave and cherry blossom. Allie welcome the woodwork is great
My favourite cross stitch is called beautiful dreamer which is a snow wolf, everyone who sees it thinks its a print till they get closer. I managed some cross stitching only about 50 stitches but better than nothing.
I hope everyone is safe during these storms, we have been battered on the boat but no damage at all, just lots of rocking, haha.

Room for another little one?
I got a new cross stitch for Christmas called 'The Pottings on the windowsill' - its very cottagey but I love it.
Have yet to start it but have decided I would like to make a collection of thigns I like with silouette pictures that I have been finding on various sites as well so they should keep me happy but I have never cross stitched onto black aida beforeTime to find me again3 -
Still managing to do a little x-stitch each day and its really coming along now. I found an old x-stitch I've had for years ( I know another one🤣) its a remembrance sepia one with a couple of red poppies on it and the date on the front to x-stitch is 2014!!!! I think I'll either miss the date off or change it to this year if I get around to stitching it. I can't even remember buying it or having it as a present!!£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund3

Hello everyone. Glad to hear that you have survived a battering on your boat Nmm. Really excited to welcome some new members, keeps me inspired. Here’s my first ‘tada’ of 24. Now mounted. This was in a cotton and twine subscription for December 2020! Stitching through the backlog now amongst painting and renovations. Not sure whether to keep it for our house or gift it to my sister. Nanny G, I don’t worry about perfection or the end product anymore and this group has really helped me with that. I just love the process, it is generally really calming for me.
