That's so cute Charly. I have finished When Winter Wanes, the backstitching was totally winged, but it is done and framed alongside the other two in the collection.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1

realised I never posted the finish! So glad it is finally done, I really wasn't enjoying it at the end, but they do look good framed together.

this is Angel of the Morning. First time stitching on evenweave and I need a hoop which I don't like. It's been quite hard going, but finally seem to be getting the hang of it. I love this fabric and hope there will be a decent amount still on show when she is complete.
It's an old pattern and calls for some special threads which are no longer available so I am currently researching what to replace them with. Not as straight forward as I thought! I love the designer and went down an eBay rabbit hole and have about 8 patterns, all as big, doubt I will ever get them all done in my lifetime 😬Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
they all look amazing dal, I remember that pattern from olden days lol. Why not list the threads you are missing on here - somebody may have extra they'd be willing to share ?

They are the Needlepaint threads which I think the designer created themselves. There are conversions available, worse case I will just do the DMC conversion, but there is another type, but again, a little harder to come by. This pattern needs Needlepaints 2007-2011.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1

i am loving this one now! It has taken quite a while to get used to stitching on evenweave, and it's definitely harder on the darker bits of fabric, but I am on a roll and really want to keep going. I am hoping to finish the bottom of her dress by the end of next weekend. Need to make a decision on replacement threads too.

DaL Angel of the Morning is looking great. I’ve not stitched on evenweave yet. I’ve started Love cats but didn’t realise there were quite so many half cross stitches. Makes the backstitch seem a breeze in comparison
To complicate it even further I’m switching the colours about as my DD would never be seen dead in pink. So the collar and sleeves will be white and the dress black. The backstitch on the dress will then have to be white! Have a good weekend all, hope you’re well.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Hi all,
Some lovely finishes and WIPs here - well done all. I have not picked up my work in ages. Just too pooped after work and have had a lot going on.
DS1 was married last Friday. I have been very emotional since as despite him moving out 3 years ago, it felt very 'final' but in a good way if that makes any sense at all? He and DIL have been together 7 years and are very very happy and well suited, so I'm so happy for them both.
Work is challenging - I have very little to do and have volunteered to help other colleagues who seem run ragged. No takers just yet. Drs strike and the cyber-attack on our pathology services has not helped the chaotic environment.
In other big news, DH is still looking for work but is not in a great place. We have had the house valued and are on the market (as of yesterday). Two viewings booked in for tomorrow so I'll go out - DH at a friends for a couple of nights. We have seen a house we like and DH has fallen in love with it. It would mean no mortgage and no need to work for either of us. DD is a little sad about the family home but will move with us, as will DS2 although he's still got another year of uni to go. We will have 2 less bedrooms if we get the house so I'll have to have a logical think about my crafting space.
Small crafting news in that I've made more heart keyrings and will be donating them to the WI stall at the local fete. Not a lot compared to others who've used their sewing machines to create cushions and other such things. Oh well every little helps!

Coxy, my parents moved my second year of uni. I took was sad to leave behind the house I grew up in, but I never really went back after uni so their 'new' house was never my home. But I was also glad they moved as they got a house they loved and then lived in for 15years. The age I was I knew it wasn't a house for the whole family. But sometimes it takes a bit of time to realise this.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1
