i want to spare others the rude and abusive customer service deparment and won,t lose sleep if i lose them a few sales in the process
You shouldn't even have been dealing with acers customer service, if the laptop developed a fault it should be returned to the retailer where you bought it, they are the only people you have any contract with, if they can't repair or replace it you're entitled to a refund.

    1. I have friends and we always talk about computers as a few of us are looking to upgrade.
never had a bad word said about acer.
    2. you make no sense. in what case???
    3. you are a noob. i fix xomputers and work with computers all day. funnily enough only a small fraction of them are acer.
    4. There after care is quality. they just dont help rude people who think its there fault. If you understand its not the person on the phone who you should be angry with they are very helpfull.
    5. "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" what the hell is that?
    6. you know your wrong so are pointing out mistakes in my writing.
You need to look better than
    7. photoshop on a 2gb ram pc should be perfect. all of my freinds have photoshop and they say it runs clear even the acer ones.
You obviously dont no what your on about as even a simple £300 computer can run photoshop with ease.
  • yes alphawoo I am a noob that's why I get paid a fairly generous salary from a reputable investment bank for my IT experience

and yes if I get an old as you like PC and shove 2gb ram in it it should be able to run photoshop perfectly.... You are an IT god obviously
  • OK guys, you convinced me. In my hunt for a new laptop, ACER are deffo back on my shopping list.

more fool you - don't believe everything the IT god alphawoo says. I think he's one of the few IT 'professionals' (snigger) that would reccomend them.

  • I had/have an acer laptop...the kids use it now but it is more or less in bits, had to have it repaired etc the fan stopped working and it has slowly fallen apart. Hinges knackered, keyboard very tempremental, the left click button you have to click about 4 or 5 times, had to get a new one a year later

I personally would never ever touch an acer again it may only be one bad experience with one computer however thats enough surely.
  • My parents have an Acer laptop and had so many problems with it. It has really put me off purchasing one for myself.

it's not just the fact that the computers seem to get whined about, it is the worse than indian call center who handle the repairs ect.

buy one , but don,t come crying when it goes wrong, takes 3 months to get fixed , or worse still find out what you thought was covered by warranty isn't. i havedealt with them and they simple could not give a s##t once they have your money, and there is no one else you can go to .

your money, i have mine back and have had a lucky escape. My new Toshiba is fine , and whats more they are usually top of surveys for service and reliabilty.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
