trets you can find coments like that in any world wide company it do not mean any thing

I've had an Acer laptop for almost a year, and have had no trouble at all.

Acers are well specified, and unbeatable value for money, which is why Trets is just holding him/her self up to ridicule with his/her absurd postings.

Trets starts off in posting 1

Is this reasoned temperate language? Has nobody told Trets that it is rude to shout?

Then following the large number of responses supporting Acer, against Trets's expectation, Trets performs the biggest retreat since Napoleon spent his winter hols in Moscow. In posting 31:

* i loved my laptop until broke
* It's not that my laptop went wrong that has me warning people about ACER
* when my laptop was stolen (in thier care i might add) and to be told " not our problem you are out a £800 laptop , go to the police , we will do nothing more "

So it turns out that Acer are fine, the poster loved the Acer laptop! The problem was that the poster's laptop was stolen when being repaired by a third party maintenance company Infoteam.

If this was the case, then Trets would have a genuine complaint against Infoteam, and should have pursued Infoteam, instead of making these wild accusations against Acer.

Further, Trets stated in posting 1, i intend to keep this thread bumped and fresh. This is threatening to repeat unsubstantiated and incorrect information, which is clearly spam (although I would not have put it in quite as elegant a way as expresso :T).

Finally, I am not from Plymouth, nor from Infoteam, but if I were from either, I would take exception to some of Trets's insinuations.

This forum is so abusive & unfriendly now a days & a read of this thread proves my point.
The word tw*t is basically the 'c' word & the original poster may have an opinion that others may not agree with but there is no need to be abusive & it is not funny or clever either.

You cant always believe what you read and if people have had a bad experience then what better way to put people off than to say they are associated with them and they have "Insider" info that the company is rotten.

For example..

I used to work for Dell in thier after sales department and we used to have a game where the person who could wind up the customer the most got a prize and most of the time we were drunk anyway and knew nothing about computers..

Not one of the above is remotely true but how would you know... You have to except it at face value

That and the fact you are saying EX employees.. Maybe they are just annoyed because they were sacked or laid off...

I'm beginning to think that the OP is a disgruntled ex employee.

1. He seems to talk like a local about the area that they are manufactured in
2. He seems to be dragging up more "evidence" as the discussion progresses, rather than wanting to tackle the problems head on. There are a host of people on this forum who could advise him how to proceed, plus there is Consumer Direct on the 0845 number.
3. He claims to know much about the calibre of people that they employ - you have to be more than a disgruntled customer to know what he apparently knows

i have just brought my 3rd Acer , in the last 2 yrs i have had a 15 then 17 inch screen Acer , then a Lenovo - 8months old , gone back twice ! and now back with a T7300 Santa Rosa Gemstone! great price , great spec, great new style - cant fault them !!

so not really so bargainous is it? You could have bought just one decent laptop for less that would have lasted you longer than the 3 cheap ones and cost less...
