i intend to keep this thread bumped and fresh , just for the hope of saving a people the hell that is a ACER computer after sales customer care .
i' ve got the will to do it and want pay back for the 10 weeks of crap they have put me through.

DO NOT BUY A ACER PRODUCT ! unless you want appalling customer service when it goes wrong.

i now a few people with acer products inc me and there fine ,you only hear about the bad ones not the good ones ,rememder that the next time you look at a forum about fault ect

One of my best purchases... Had it 2 years and upgraded to Vista Premium and never a problem.. Upgraded the ram and everything has been excellent..

What makes me laugh is that there's only actually a handful of laptop manufacturers anyway and lots of stuff is badged as appropriate. For example, Gericom, Clevo and Advent are the same kit.

I've got an acer laptop, can't fault it, a core 2 duo laptop with about 4 hour battery life for under £400, nobody cam match that!

Another thumbs-up for Acer here. We have a number of laptops from them at work and they are great, especially battery life.

Both were good value for money.
