We managed to use just over 8kWh of free electricity on Sunday, as the sun was out so we were also generating around 4kW at the time.
Does anyone know how it will be refunded, as it shows on our usage charged at the day rate at present?

It's a while since we last had a "turn up" session but I think it appeared as a credit entry on you bill.

Well, annoyingly, it's finally changed from 'calculating' and I did save so should have qualified for a free hour. Unfortunately, as I never received the email I couldn't run appliances at the appropriate time - the PVs were generating sufficiently to cover the base load

I could give it a try - I run different email accounts for different purposes so it would be better if I didn't need to… and I get the billing emails fine 🤷🏻♀️

Hello forum 👋 I believe we used just about a kWh as we were away and had only a limited few things to kick off remotely.
However considering our time slot was during cosy cheap period anyway it will be about 13p to be credited back.
More of a saving was the free cafe Nero coffee on the scratchcard that works out just over £5 saving for a coffee treat whilst shopping this weekend.

I am giving up on free power hours. I managed to qualify for Sunday’s free power hour but struggled to make use of it. First of all my Powerwall had been calibrating so was empty. I turned on max backup but it would only charge at 3.3kW. I put one immersion heater on boost and I set the timer on the second for 2-3pm, so managed a load of just over 9kW. Unfortunately the sun was out and we were generating over 6kW so net import was only around 3kW and we foregoing export payments on 6kW. As the hour went on it became a little more cloudy and generation dropped but so did load as the immersion heaters reached temperature. So on the whole it cost us money (compared to heating overnight on cheap rate). It doesn’t end there, though. I forgot that I had set the immersion to run from 2-3pm so on Monday (the cloudiest day for several months) the immersion drew from the grid. Normally the Powerwall would have covered this but the calibration was still ongoing and it was empty and, hence, not discharging. So at least a couple of kWh was imported at peak rate.
