I did opt in, but it still says 'calculating'…

I'm assuming I didn't save and don't qualify but it could be I just haven't received the email (as others who've had an email say their app also still says 'calculating')

Mine still says that (and I suspect everyone's does) but I have still received the email to tell me when my session is.

It's a shame that Saving Sessions emails don't appear in the "email history" section of one's Octopus account!

Indeed…

If I have qualified and my email has disappeared into whatever black hole the saving sessions ones do, I have no way of finding out 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe the email has gone where mine went with the email provider holding it as spam. I was able to retrieve it but some providers simply delete it. If you have been allocated an hour then you will find out in a couple of weeks when they refund your hour's use.

@jackieblack do you get emails for your bills, and dd notifications ? They come from the same source as the savings sessions

hello@octopus.energy. If not then octopus doesn't have your email address correct or your email provider is blocking them. If you do then it's probably a spam filter problem.

Yes, I get those fine, and there's also a button in the app for me to click if I want to stop being opted in to receiving SS notifications.
I always used to get them, it's only since I moved house (I transferred my account) that I no longer get them. I've contacted Octopus about it multiple times, they tell me that they're being sent and can't explain why I don't receive them - the address is in my safe senders list 🤷🏻‍♀️

It won't help you for today, but you could try a different email address?

If you're currently using Gmail, for example, try Outlook or Yahoo or one of the many other providers.
