1 free hour for doing nothing extra is a real bonus. Will go to charging car, which is probably the reason that in saving sessions, despite doing nothing different at all manage to save something, due to 2 EV charging pretty much every day for 10% & creating a nice stream of catching fish. Not as good as greener nights in terms of getting anything back.

I'm going to give the current saving sessions a go. I could do with an hour or two of free weekend energy in the bank for when it finally stops being sunny all the time!

Yes, I didn't use my free hour on Sunday as it was very sunny here, so have an hour in the bank. It's far more beneficial on a day where I'd need to partially charge the battery from the grid anyway. Will be even better once we get our EV and can pull 7kWh for the car plus 5kWh into the battery.

I do wish they would bid for the 1900-2100 slots ,that's the only realistic way I can "save"

But have they said that you can use 2 banked hours on the same Sunday?

Yes, the FAQ says you can use upto two in one weekend so you just select two slots.

Looks like another Octo-con 68 points , their bid was £168/MW usually they would pay c107(80% of bid)

Edit; suppose they need to recoup the free hours.

As long as there are two slots available when you book them. Presumably people who aren't up at 5am to book them will then complain and there will be a scratch card to decide which sessions you get.

But seriously there could be a bit of a rush in the last couple of Sundays.

I think a lot of people may have been saving theirs yesterday as the slots were still available in the morning.

I personally would've wanted to use the first free hour yesterday but we were away and then away again for the bank holiday so may build up two in quick succession if we get another free hour this coming weekend. Wouldn't want to be in a position where I couldn't use them because all the slots have gone.
