Yes you have to opt in each time, before each session.
From what I read there was no mention of the two power down sessions having to be in the same week, but it wouldn't suprise me if they do and I assuming they do to be safe. I stand to be corrected.

My daily use is about 5p; it's a bit difficult to use less than that.
There's also a a potential hiccup, in that Octopus's half-hourly usage stats haven't working been working since midnight on the 22nd for a number of customers and they don't know if it'll be fixed before the end of the month.

Ironically, today is likely to be my first day of significant electricity usage for months; DS is staying and when he does it throws all of my power plans out of kilter.
