Between 17:30 - 18:30 = agile approx 48p... export = (12 + 15 = 27p) ... Nah
Intelligent Go 6p to charge and 27p to export 19p kwh profit.

Intelligent Go 7p to charge
Intelligent works far better for me, cutting rest of house usage to 7p while daytime charging. No need to charge overnight then, when car is sat on drive in daytime.👍

While I assume there's always the expensive option of importing from mainland Europe, maybe, just maybe, the powers that be will realize they can't rely on the general public to pull them out the s*!t following years of under investment, and they'll start making some serious investments into future energy security.Yeah, I'm a fantasist!

I suspect uptake in the scheme for the lower rates is low and many just won't try as hard so the effect of the low rates should show in the reporting at the end of the DFS season.
That will hopefully provide the details that they need to offer moreoney for the savings to get more people and more kwh saved.0 -
Spending shed loads on Carbon Capture and Storage doesn’t generate electricity, the cost of electricity is driven by gas prices, and we don’t have enough storage to see us through pronlonged periods of no wind/solar.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I made a bit exporting yesterday - but the rates barely make it worthwhile.
I wish the scheme would update it's goals to be cleaner / cheaper energy - rather than just be about capacity constraints. If you throw / waste enough money there will always be capacity - but at what price?2 -
We exported as well - but echo the above sentimentLancashire

Unless the powers to be decide to dump some power stations based on the fact people are prepared to cut back for ££?
You pay peanuts & these monkeys are going to go back to normal usage. It has to be worthwhile to cut back.
When you see the battery people sayings it not worth it, then for anyone else the though of sitting in the dark for a few pence is simply not worth the effort.I am a mortgage broker. I'm glad I didn't export. Had plumber in yesterday trying to balance our CH better, and I think he must have hit the switch to turn on the electric heating element in the towel rail by mistake. It emptied out our batteries after the CH went off last night and we ended up importing for an hour at over 33p kWh (Economy 7 daytime rate). If I'd exported to the grid any saving would have been wiped out and more by the towel rail issue.Make £2025 in 2025
