    I've rounded up 5hrs x Night rate =£1.51 -not £4.67
+ Water Heats Up during Night Rate|+Early Morning Smart Lights.
old school storage Heater In Hall.
    Does £4.67 sound right?

    thanks
Cost is kWh x unit rate, not hours x unit rate.

    11.2kWh x 17.863p/kWh = £2.00
    SC 61.62p
    So £4.61 - DQ+SC = £1.99 (near enough) ≈ 11kWh between water and other storage heater.

I'm no expert but that doesn't sound excessive to me.  Maybe 3-4kWh water and 7-8kWh the other storage heater?

    £4.67
    smart ihd states 23kw/h
    That's about right for 17.8p/kWh and a 61p/day SC.

So where did the other 12kWh go? 3-4kWh for water heating, and the rest into your old school SH?

I need to ask, is DQ OverHeating possibly caused by old school Board that Pro Electrician had commented as recommendation to replace at some point.

    thanks

    I had used 5 hours x 17.7 +61 approx.
That 11kwh is that Eco 7 overnight water +| old school brick storage heater.

Excellent I'll use KWH X Night Rate.
If that's as expected Normal, maybe 21c is excessive until Winter Freezing Room Temps.
I'll settle 19/20c over this week and keep Home All Day.

Is it possible to advise if 7 a.m. DQ Overheating could be potentially caused by old school board.
Meanwhile I've raised DQ Service Type request up-to 5 days response time.

I intend to purchase Thermostat- any Smart recommendations.

08:30 approx, £5.87 -lets see how Smart Dimmed Lights do until this afternoon.

    thanks

Another overheating Reset, I'll try 19c though higher temps have never been a problem until 7 a.m. today.

The old school board / consumer unit won't be the cause. The heater will only pull what is available. It sounds like you have a faulty heater. I'd get back in contact with the electrician and the supplier if you purchased it yourself.

Overheating would suggest something is covering/obstructing the heater, do you have any nearby objects that could be blocking the heat? You can also reset the overheat warning by holding the enter button for 10 seconds.
    Moo…
  • 2300 seems a little early for E7 off peak to come on - you have checked that is definitely when your meter clicks over, have you? It's best to do this by watching the actual meter itself - not the IHD. You may hear a bit of a "click" as things change over, or may simply see the active register on the meter change.
