Login to the app, select Products in the bottom menu and scroll down to 'Our Services'. Switch account is top left.SVts said:I've opened an account this morning using the app but I cannot see how I start a switch! Any advice please.
Is it necessary to join Blue Rewards to qualify for the switch bonus?
What happens if you do not pay in the £800 per month?
Thanks
My understanding is that if you fail to pay in the £800 you won't qualify for Blue Rewards in that month. The monthly fee will still be taken though.

Just a FYI, I've noticed that when attempting to switch to Barclays through the app there doesn't seem to be any way to future date the switch like you can with other banks. When you submit the request it will be processed straight away for a switch to complete in 7 days time. Something to keep in mind if you need to delay the switch for some reason, such as needing time to get DDs set up.6

I feel your pain! That phone line is not set up for appointments, despite them saying you should ring it for appointments. It is set up for everything but appointments.ianmacp53 said:Applied through the app. Unbelievable faff. Couldn't confirm identity, call for a branch appointment. Number is normal banking line. A very robust automated system determined to get debit card/account details and not queue you for a human. Had to give it 5 mins of the silent treatment before it caved.
25 minute hold. Sorry sir, next appointment in your area end of November. Or drive 40 miles for one in mid-November.
Strewth. Feel like I've earned my £175 already!
Our local Barclays branches have all shut - but we get a 'pop-up' once a week, and I've got an appointment at one of those in 2 weeks time.1 -
I have opened a new account via the app, but I keep getting error code UD001 when trying to activate the blue rewards. I was thinking of just initiating the switch and trying to activate blue rewards in a weeks time once I have received my debit card. Does anyone know if blue rewards has to be activated first? It's just that it appears within step one of the process prior to step two which is switching.0

You must pay £800 first so you definitely will join blue reward successfully.DJCJ said:I have opened a new account via the app, but I keep getting error code UD001 when trying to activate the blue rewards. Even after having paid in £800 still getting the UD001 error. There doesn't seem to be a secure messaging/chat service either to ask for support.Thi800 said:

You will find your welcome letter in the Statements and documents section of the app.SVts said:I've opened an account this morning using the app.
I've joined Blue Rewards(think this is a requirement).
However I cannot see how I start a switch! Any advice please?
Also I have not received any email confirmation from Barclays which I find a little odd. The account is fully open but no emails. This the Barclays way?0 -
I've just sent £800 to my new Barclays account and now it's stuck there as the APP is saying it takes 4 days before I can make payment out of my account. A bit frustrating.2

I'm not sending my £800 until I have my debit card. I have moved a little money in there from the TSB account that I'm switching in (tbh there's not that much in there).Largs said:I've just sent £800 to my new Barclays account and now it's stuck there as the APP is saying it takes 4 days before I can make payment out of my account.
