I had pending direct debits in my Chase account which switched to Barclays yesterday. They are visible in my Barclays account. In fact they were visible a couple days prior to the switch completing.0

Do you need to join blue rewards instantly or can you wait? E.g. If I switch now, my bonus would arrive in December right? So its better to activate Blue Rewards in December than now, else it will be an extra £5 with no direct debit due out this month?0

Hi. No you have to join before you switch. You won't get charged 1st fee until DecemberDJSINGH said:Do you need to join blue rewards instantly or can you wait? E.g. It says “Sorry something went wrong. Please try again later”. Lost the will to live as after downloading the app on my iphone I can’t access my account on my iPadmiller said:
If it's the UD001 error, it can be overriden by pressing the back key.GlasgowExpat2 said:Not impressed. Tried to register for the Cashback Rewards but keep getting an error message. I’ve been advised there’s an issue but they don’t know when it will be fixed 😤
I'm getting that error today, too. I could see my new account when I applied for it. I logged in later that day and it worked. Tried to log on to day and get Error 00002 and then that message. It includes the pointless "if the error persists, use the Direct Call feature in the app.

to confirm blue rewards is £5 per month but gets refunded every month if you pay in £800 pm and have two direct debits going out that month ?0

Having an absolute nightmare with this offer now.
I’ve been a Barclaycard customer for 15 years+
Saw the offer and I have spare current account that I’ve used for switching about so not to mess with my main account.
Wed opened the current account without any issues
Yesterday everything gone tits up.
Tried opening the Barclaycard app error code 00002 same with Barclays normal app.
Spoke to Barclays via Twitter pm who advised to delete app and reinstall.
Tried that on re-registering error code 00003, They then advised I will need to ring up.
Rang up this morning on phone over 2 hrs and now need to go in to a branch 🙈.
Both apps won’t let me register with ID and I don’t currently have a PinSentry so my 1 day off is a visit to the city centre.
Completely locked out now so unable to switch and join Blue Rewards0 -
Tried to pay back out some of the £800 I paid in but it got hit by the "delayed security check" thing and I've not heard any word yet. Usually I've been fine doing something similar with other switches, guess barclays extra cautious? Hoping it doesn't take too long for them to "check" it.

This is confirmed on the Barclays site and on several posts on this topic.federer said:to confirm blue rewards is £5 per month but gets refunded every month if you pay in £800 pm and have two direct debits going out that month ?
Note, it is not a refund per se, they charge you £5 to be a member but if you have 2 DD TAKEN (not just active) in the month, you get a reward of £5 for that month. In order to qualify and remain in rewards, in addition, you must pay in £800 a month. As such, regardless of how much your DD are, always have £5 in the account for the start of the monthSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes, this has been reported on this topic multiple times, including by myself. The simplest way to think of it is, is that the app is "learning" about you and your behaviour, so paying in and out £800 quickly triggers a fraud /scam warning on their system. You may need to do it with their staff on the phone the first timeRawrzy said:Tried to pay back out some of the £800 I paid in but it got hit by the "delayed security check" thing and I've not heard any word yet.
