How long after setting up the DDs did you wait until starting the switch? Normally it takes a minimum of 3-4 working day to set up a new DD to the point it would be considered active.Durban said:

Hi, I am the same as you Ulster/Moneybox and PayPal. You don't see the Direct Debits until paid but the new bank will get a list fine.Maple08 said:I'll be using Ulster and then PayPal and MoneyBox for the direct debits. I'm hoping these work for the switch.
I also don't think Ulster will show me an active DD until it goes out because I don't think it did for RBS, so the same system is probably in place.
I opened the account and initiated the switch from Ulster with no problems. Switch is due around the 20th.I had set up 2 DD with Ulster that are not showing on my Ulster account ( which I understand from these threads is normal ). They are , however, showing in my 2 credit card accounts as Ulster being the new DD
I received a letter from Barclays today stating that my switch was going ahead and listed regular payments from Ulster as well as DD’s
No DD’s were shown and it says if none are listed they were unable to set them up on their systems so that is going to disqualify me from receiving the bonus
The letter goes onto say that if any payments or DD’s are missing to contact them as soon as possible and gives a telephone number to phone
I phoned the number and it is no longer on use
I phoned the alternative number and it tells me to send a message in the app. My app at the moment has no facility whatsoever to send a message. I am guessing that this is because my app is only in the 3rd day and full functionality is not available until the 4th day apparently, if you’re lucky. Good job that I read these threads and haven’t put the full £800 in yet to have it stuck there for at least 4 days
i then tried to phone again. Got cut off. Phoned again , stuck in a queue. I have given up
I have done many switches with no issues at all before
What a palava and what a terrible shop front for Barclays.
I thought , maybe incorrect, that when the switch completes on 21st November it would all be ready to go ?Maybe I was too hasty. Is there a chance that they’ll be active when the switch completes in 5 days time ?0 -
Since applying for a current account, none of my Barclaycard statements are available - in either the Barclays or the Barclaycard app (for which I had to re-register). They really are quite inept. I can find no way to message through the app, so guess I need to phone them.0

@friolento, Barclays have changed the switcher T&Cs, in particular the problematic first ineligibility condition, now ...
You will not be eligible for this offer if:- You have any open Barclays Current Account on 31st October 2023. This includes but is not exclusive to a Barclays Bank Account, Student/Graduate Account, Platinum Bank Account, Mortgage Current Account, or a Premier Current Account.
...
... you may want to update your OP as it is a reference post.

Thank you @miller. I contacted Barclays through the chat option in my Barclaycard app. Apparently I had 2 profiles so they deleted both and automatically logged out of Barclaycard app. I then had to register again on the Barclays app, but didn’t have to provide ID etc again.miller said:
The same scenario happened to me (I wasn't asked to do additional ID checks though and am using an Android phone). I've just carried on using the Barclaycard app to access what I need.explorerm said:I successfully opened a Barclays account on 12/11(Sunday) after installing the Barclays app on my iPhone. All worked fine, I intended to start the switch a few days later.
But when I try to open Barclays app now I’m getting an error code 00002 and can’t get into the app. I also have a Barclaycard app on the same phone and that still works fine and I can see my current account there.
I read earlier in the thread that the 00002 error seems to resolve itself after a few days ……BUT I’ve realised I’ve used a different email address for my current account to the email address on my Barclaycard. Can see Barclaycard and Current account in the Barclays app, so think I probably won’t bother with the Barclaycard app again.1 -
As I understand it, details of active payments are collected on day 1 of the switch, and any not active on the old account at that time will not be switched. They would need to be moved manually. Originators usually show the new details when they have started processing a change in bank account, not when they have finished. My credit card provider showed the new details immediately after submitting them.Durban said:

I got my first £10 cashback this morning. Transfered it. Now another £10 has appeared. Don't want to spend it and them want it back so I think I'll leave it where it is and await developments.0

I've just realised that I've still not received my card or any letters from Barclays. Tomorrow (in the morning) marks a week since I opened the account.0

Not impressed. Tried to register for the Cashback Rewards but keep getting an error message. I’ve been advised there’s an issue but they don’t know when it will be fixed 😤0

A week is not a long time in banking. I would hope two weeks should be enough time to deliver cards though.Maple08 said:I've just realised that I've still not received my card or any letters from Barclays. Tomorrow (in the morning) marks a week since I opened the account.0
