Hi, pretty sure this may have been answered previously but for whatever reason I’m only being offered the basic Barclays account. I assume this is not eligible for the incentive?0

Just downloaded the Apple app and there's no way of applying for an account, just registering for a product that you already have. Has anyone else had any similar problems? Has the offer ended? Or is this just a problem at Barclays' end?0

I'm already not enjoying Barclays, their app is clunky. Chase cancelled the account switch for something silly (having a dormant savings account). So I sorted the stuff out with chase and went back to Barclays to tell it to do the switch, and it won't do it, saying 'this account won't accept switches' . Argh, I really really hate having to call banks. The app said there was a 'messenger' option which would have been perfect, but low and behold, i cannot find any messenger type service on the app. Why lie about these things?0

My switch completed on Monday. First DD left the account this morning. Will update when the bonus has been paid.1

I successfully opened a Barclays account on 12/11(Sunday) after installing the Barclays app on my iPhone. All worked fine, I intended to start the switch a few days later.
But when I try to open Barclays app now I’m getting an error code 00002 and can’t get into the app. I also have a Barclaycard app on the same phone and that still works fine and I can see my current account there.
I read earlier in the thread that the 00002 error seems to resolve itself after a few days ……BUT I’ve realised I’ve used a different email address for my current account to the email address on my Barclaycard.Also I just received a notification from the Barclays app saying they have have completed their checks and to open the app to continue my application !??Anyone else encountered this problem, or any suggestions please?

Well, my switch completes today. The Metro account is closed, the DDs are showing in the Barclays app but the balance from Metro is yet to show up. I assume it will arrive a little later but that's different to every other switch I have done. Barclays - continuing to plough their own furrow....

How long do Plum DDs take to show? Got the email saying the mandate was set up a few days ago but its not showing on the banking app yet.0

The same scenario happened to me (I wasn't asked to do additional ID checks though and am using an Android phone). It didn't work for me. I didn't try Skipton, but assumed the Merchant Category Code (MCC) would be similar to YBS. Opened an NS&I Direct Saver, deposited 2 days ago, not showing yet, but assume it will given others' experiences. The MCC for the Direct Saver is "Government Services" which is probably not on Barlcays' exlucded list.Volcane said:

Just to confirm that sending £200 to my NS&I Direct Saver a few days ago has now shown up as £10 cashback in the Barclays app. More free money. I'll do the same next month.masonic said:
Unlikely, but it depends how the transaction is categorised.
