Hi. It was 4 days before I was able to transfer money out of Barclays. I think its a security measure they have, the problem is they don't actually tell you that. You should be fine after 4 working days.emjrd02_1 said:Signed up to switch on November 8th. I put money in to current account. Can't get money to transfer out. I keep getting RPSO1 MESSAGE . I rang bank at they said nothing wrong at will have to wait till the 16th when switch is complete !!!!
Hope it works then
Any body else having same problem?0 -
It's a security thing - a few people reported it when they paid in their £800 and then immediately tried to pay it back out again. I think it's supposed to resolve itself after 4 hrs, but if it doesn't you'll probably need to give them a call to get them to remove the block on the transfer. You shouldn't need to wait until the switch completes.0

I had this exact same problem yesterday, my account was open for two weeks and the 800 was in the account for more than four days and still I had this code so I tried scheduling the payment for the next day and it worked so maybe you can try that schedule for tomorrow and see if it goes throughemjrd02_1 said:Signed up to switch on November 8th. Thanks for the reply that’s really helpful. Now waiting with bated breath to see if the DD are setup/active in time before 30th to initiative the switch and get the cash back. I’ve looked at moneybox as DD backup tooNasqueron said:
The Barclays Blue reward requires 2 DD to be taken, not just present, to get the £5, however, they don't charge you in the first month (in theory).Croesus_IfOnly said:First switch - if I start the account opening and switch now having just transferred 2x DD over to the account I intend to switch, will Barclays honour it as 2+ DD for the cash back criteria? I assume the DD will appear soon in the account I’m intending to switch but they’re not yet showing in the app. First is PayPal and second is National Lottery. New to this but looks like it could be lucrative. Thanks!Current account cash reward
Get £5 a month for successfully paying two or more Direct Debits from your nominated account.
As such, next month, so as long as you have the 2x DD pulling (i.e. your paypal and national lottery DDs both take money) and pay in the £800 (even if you take it out straight away), you get the £5 back, which will cover the £5 fee taken on the second day of the month0 -
Once again,
I was told by Barclays that you only get the £5 fee back after a month. It doesn't kick in until you've paid your first fee. So as long as two DD come out in December, you'll get the £5 you pay at the start of December back at the start of January when they will have taken the second £5 fee. You're working one month in lieu.
If you withdraw from Blue Rewards, do so AFTER your direct debits come out then you'll still get the final £5 back at the start of the following month.0 -
The direct debit reward is not a refund of fees. The person you spoke to has clearly tried to dress things up in a palatable manner for you, but has been economical with the truth of the matter. You can earn the rewards in the month you activate Blue Rewards, before the fee is charged, and they will be credited at the same time as the first fee is deducted (or not if you withdraw from BR before the end of the previous month).Zopa_Trooper said:Once again,

Re Cashback Rewards, if this is showing up on my app front page does that mean I am correctly registered?I’ve made 2 purchases in the last day and they re not showing as pending in the rewards.0

Wait a couple of days and look again. Mine took two or three days to show.Birdman2015 said:Re Cashback Rewards, if this is showing up on my app front page does that mean I am correctly registered?I’ve made 2 purchases in the last day and they re not showing as pending in the rewards.
After it shows you have to go to the cashback page and "cash it in" which takes a few more days for the money to reach your account.1 -
Thanks, I’d assumed they’d show as pending as soon as you spend.boingy said:

I notice that Barclays Facebook ad now states the switch cashback bonus offer will be ending 'soon'. Wonder if that implies before 30 November.0
