Congratulations. Do you have any tips/ideas as to why it worked so well? I'm puzzled about my now 15 attempts to do the video check correctly. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My camera/operating system is all up to date, and my permissions are set correctly.masonic said:I'm a bit late to the party, but have had a remarkably smooth process so far compared to others. ID verification went really smoothly (worked first time), likewise account opening.

I don't know. I had loads of trouble with HooYu (used by Natwest etc) and Chase. There were no technical issues, I gave the app video and audio permissions when requested and it had no problem using these. I did the check under fluorescent lighting in my kitchen as there wasn't enough natural light at that time in the morning.MoneySaverUK123 said:

Right, this thread is probably littered with the same question, but how the heck am i meant to open an account IN APP. If the App has no option for current accounts? I'm baffled. Nowhere on the barclays site helps with this. I've tried both the barclaycard app and the regular Barclays app, its extremely odd. I am a already a barclaycard holder.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

In the regular Barclays app select "I'm a new customer". If you've logged in to your Barclaycard account, clear app data and start again.Curls2208 said:Right, this thread is probably littered with the same question, but how the heck am i meant to open an account IN APP. This. Might need to clear cache or something, and also make sure you're not doing it overnight. There seems to be some time period from like 2400-0700 or something overnight where the option isn't available

Does anyone know when the first £5 charge for blue rewards is taken? Does it work per calendar month or statement month? I switched with 2 direct debits, but they were already taken for this month, so if they charge me the £5 for this month I won't get it back. I'm wondering if it's worth creating new direct debits just for this month.0

The first monthly fee will be taken in the month after you join Barclays Blue Rewards on the second working day of the month, and on the second working day of each following month
The reward will also be paid on the same day. In order to get a reward next month, you need to have the 2 DDs paying in November, and pay in the £800 in November, too. If you miss either of these, and don't have any other qualifying Barclays products, you won't get the reward for December but they will charge you £5.

After two days away I see lots of notifications so checking what is new, most of the conversation is about questions which have been asked a few pages before and kindly answered again and again.
Perhaps the starting point should not just be to find this topic but actually invest a few minutes and scan what's already been written?5
