Did ask about the first £5 fee, the employee said that you get the payment retrospectively. So the £5 you get returned in say January is the £5 you initially pay out in November. He said if you leave Blue Rewards, as long as two direct debits are paid out that month, you'll get your £5 back. So even if you get two direct debits paid out after joining before the end of November, it wont matter as you would not have paid the initial £5 fee by then.0 -

I have had no communication from Barclays and my donor bank is usually red-hot at notifying me in-app when a switch request has been submitted but I've not heard anything, and it's now too late to start to complete on the 15th.
Has anyone on a similar time frame had confirmation that their switch has started?0 -

It's supposed to be 7 working days after you switch. However I set it up today and have been given the 17th which I think is 6 working days1

Wife's started her switch just now, no option to pick a date and as expected given a switch completion date of 17th November. It did state just before submission that it will take 7 working days and that if submitted after 7:30pm the start date of the switch will be the next working day.
After submitting it states "We'll send you a notification when it's been completed" so it doesn't actually promise to send you confirmation when it starts or updates whilst it's in progress.

Don't hold your breath for confirmation of switch completion either. Mine completed today (TSB shows my old account as Personal Switchout Account) all money in donor account transferred, two DDs showing, list of payees (not that they work) not a peep from Barclays, not even a document in the app.1
