Is it the "direct payment" via Xoom?
Is there somewhere that explains how to do this?
If you log into PayPal, under the "wallet" tab there should be an option to "link a bank". Once linked it'll take a few days to set up the DD. Then to pull the DD, when you make a payment/add to you PayPal balance you need to select the bank account as the funding source instead of any linked credit/debit cards.2 -

It's not a new payee, it's one of the payees transferred from the donor account (though of course that's new to Barclays), and it is only a small amount (tried both £10 and £1, failure each time)
PIN letter just plopped onto the doormat.0 -
Thanks to the appalling postal service around these parts (sometimes only one delivery a week!) I just received the card and PIN in the same post. It's happened before with new accounts. So much for security.0

Rhis is because they send a 1p payment to the account with a 4 digit code in the payment reference which you need to enter to validate, so be sure to have access to online banking first (Just thought i would post this in case any one has opened a burner account with the purpose of competing the switch and is still waiting on int banking log on details).
its a fairly simple process to set the DD up on the account once you are in the wallet on there.
I'm just waiting for my "burner" account to be fully set up before applying for the Barclays one (just waiting on the dd's for plum, money box and PayPal to show on the account first, one is there so far so just waiting for whichever one of the other two will show next lol)MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..2 -

I tried twuce yesterday, and once again this mornimg (the balance from my donor account us in there so switch has gone through) each time presented with RPS01 and no payment.Nasqueron said:northwalesd said:Blade200 said:Deposited £800 in this morning to meet that criteria. Went to send it back to another account of mine but was hit with an error RPS01 message. Said If payment hasn’t gone through after 4 hours try again.
Anyone had their debit card PIN yetSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I requested my switch in-app on Tuesday and was given a completion date of the 15th, but the switch still hasn't started.
I have had no communication from Barclays and my donor bank is usually red-hot at notifying me in-app when a switch request has been submitted but I've not heard anything, and it's now too late to start to complete on the 15th.
Has anyone on a similar time frame had confirmation that their switch has started?0 -

Zopa_Trooper said:I can initiate the switch today forvthex1st December but do I also have to join blue rewards before then? I'll ask today, it seems like you have to forfeit the first £5 unless you are fortunate enough to have to direct debits late in the month.4

Had my interview, all went well, now have the account open, £800 transferred, Blue Rewards joined. Only thing I've been unable to do is open the Rainy Day Saver, guess I'll need to leave it 24 hours.
Did ask about the first £5 fee, the employee said that you get the payment retrospectively. So the £5 you get returned in say January is the £5 you initially pay out in November. He said if you leave Blue Rewards, as long as two direct debits are paid out that month, you'll get your £5 back. So even if you get two direct debits paid out after joining before the end of November, it wont matter as you would not have paid the initial £5 fee by then.0
