All sounds a bit odd, anyway they just emailed me weeks ago asking if I wanted to join, I rang them and it was done and dusted in a couple of minutes, I got WHD last year, that was the only thing they seemed to be interested in, as they never asked me about my current situation or wanted any proof of earnings, or benefits.0

tifo have you switched to Eon recently or have you been with them since before August this year? (And do you pay by fixed Direct Debit?)0

I pay on bill issue not direct debit though I see they want payment by DD for the scheme.

Oh well according to their T&Cs, there's the problem.tifo said:

Some people seem to have it easier .....[Deleted User] said:Although I have applied for the 25% tariff (comfortably below the 19K threshold), it is patently clear, after filling in an Income and Expenditure online form, that any applicant to this scheme has to be ruthless in examining all their expenditure over the last year. Things like insurances came up and repairs etc plus you need to link access to your bank account for 3 months of transactions if I recall. You need to allocate your expenditure into a myriad of different categories and possibly have all that expenditure itemised by having bank statements to hand. I spent the best part of 2 hours on it this afternoon (as should be the case). I believe that my summission, with a slight negative total available for 'non-priority creditors' can be backed up by looking at statements going back over the last year. Whether this translates to being accepted for this tariff remains to be seen.0 -
I've received my October 2023 bill and the £150 is marked as 'Warm Home Discount Core Group 2' yet they're still saying (and not responding to my return emails asking why) that i'm not eligible under the 'Warm Home Discount Core Group 2' criteria. I received the payment on 18 October 2023 and last year too.0

I did register my interest first time some weeks ago and they asked me to complete an income and expenses form (online link). The point is, the criteria for the WHD does not state that an income of under £19,000 or a deficit is required, that's a separate criteria. We have to meet only 1 criteria.DerwentMailman said:
Maybe you should try the registering approach as I did last weektifo said:I've received my October 2023 bill and the £150 is marked as 'Warm Home Discount Core Group 2' yet they're still saying (and not responding to my return emails asking why) that i'm not eligible under the 'Warm Home Discount Core Group 2' criteria. 4 days later I got an SMS text, and a day later I phoned them up and been on the 25% scheme since yesterday. My eligibility was due to the 19K limit and I completed an Income and Expenditure form showing a deficit.
BTW I had been on VDD but have had to go onto Fixed DD to go onto the 25% tariff.
I called the correct department a few days ago and the person said they'll pass it on to the correct department and they'll contact you in a few days, great I thought. All he did was register my interest again and i've again been asked to complete an income and expenses (online).
I also called the complaints team to raise the issue, so that they can tell me why I don't qualify under the WHD core group 2. He refused to register it, saying it was a 'business decision'. That's when he gave me the number for the 'credit department' who handle the scheme.
The guy in the credit department said the WHD criteria is that you must have received it for the past 3 years (I have) and he also said it's 'heresy' that all debt will be wiped off after the term (for those with a debt). When I replied that it's there in black and white on their website he kind of apologised but I got the impression he didn't care.
So, I go nowhere.0
