    A good way to bank

Unlike the banks we are owned by our members, not shareholders. That’s anyone who banks, saves or has a mortgage with us. Which means we can always focus on what’s best for them. It’s our fundamental difference and what makes us a good way to bank.

When is a bank not a bank?

    When it's called Nationwide!

There's a lot more use of and focus on the word 'bank' now. Are they changing from a building society to a bank... or just want people to think they are?
Their desire to be more of a bank was made clear with their recent "Fairer Share" pay-out that was very firmly aimed at rewarding current account holders. They want to be a bank but also want us to feel warm and cuddled by the mutual word. It won't work in the longer term.

In the spirit but not the letter?   :)

And perish the thought that they should be  mentioned in the same breath as "the banks"!

Ah no, NW has "members" not (whisper it low) "shareholders" albeit that some members are more equal than others....:)

"The banks" would be hard put to it to justify paying the same class of shareholders a different amount of div per share or worse, no div at all.....?

I wonder what the debit cards will bee like!

Also wonder what the bank statements will look like as the flex direct & flex account were plain & boring,

it now leaves Barclays to change their debit cards I know Barclaycard did it!

Now the NatWest brand really does need rid of that awful pukey granny purple ...
Stay safe if you're in Scotland.
No chance, If you're in Scotland you can't have failed to notice that NatWest Group have just spent shedloads changing all the Royal Bank branding from their rather splendid royal blue to the new purple livery (at least on/in the branches they haven't shut yet).

They are already on the website and in-app, and on Apple/Google Wallet if you delete your card and re-add it.

The current account designs are here - Compare our bank accounts | Nationwide

And the credit card is here - Credit cards | Nationwide

Definitely Pacman at work there. It cannot be the sun, because there is a building behind it.
