@Coupon-mad I've been sent another letter today from DCBL who say they are bailiffs. Thank you, I'll have a look at CIVEA but I don't know what to say. They're asking for £170 and said the supreme Court says they're lawful in doing so.0

UPDATE!!
I've been contacted by DCBL - Direct Collection Bailliffs LTD
They want to recover £170 within 14 days, or they'll take the matter to the high court. For 12 minutes extra in a car park, when I'm disabled & told them so in my appeal.
They sent a link to a case brought by the Supreme Court, stating that they are lawful to collect charges for parking violations and I no longer have a right to appeal until they take me to court.0 -
@Coupon-mad I checked the list, it says DCBL are accredited since Oct 20230

This is just a £170 debt letter (not bailiffs) as discussed in the 4th post of the NEWBIES threadPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not only that, but as you're based in Scotland, it's double reason to ignore them.Coupon-mad said:This is just a £170 debt letter (not bailiffs) as discussed in the 4th post of the NEWBIES threadPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

@Umkomaas so I should ignore all letters unless it's a court summons? Thank you0

I appreciate that, I thought they were bailiffs as it's in the title of the letter 😅 Thanks for your timeCoupon-mad said:This is just a £170 debt letter (not bailiffs) as discussed in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread0 -
You won't get a summons because it is not a criminal matter.ZeldaMayCry said:@Umkomaas so I should ignore all letters unless it's a court summons? Thank you
Debt collectors are powerless and can do absolutely nothing except send poor quality bog paper, which might be useful if there is another shortage.
I scan mine and save the electronic versions on a hard drive, then turn the originals into paper briquettes, taking photos as I do so, and then send photos of me putting them on my fire to the debt collectors just to wind them up.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

@ZeldaMayCry, I have just received a ticket from a car park in Inverurie, again 13 minutes over the hour. Just wondering what the outcome of your case was. The car park owner has stated they cannot help me and to appeal to UKPC. We all know that is a waste of time. I know the advice is do nothing but I can't afford to pay increased charges down the line0
