Made some onion bhajis and some jalapeno hummus today from bits in the cupboard. I packed my lunch for work tomorrow. All budgets done and ready to roll when I get some moneyHad to pop out and get a few bits but I bought healthy things and only what I needed, no snacks! Now i'm feeling snackish of course.10

Good evening 🌖
Hugs beanielou. Get well soon!!! 🤧
O - This month I am just going to focus on getting back on the wagon. No new obligations. Just build up my habits and basic self care again.
C - I don't feel like I have had fun for a long time. I have been pretty anti-social and locked myself away. I ten to think of socialising as a chore, a drain on my energy, unsafe even at times if I have to go out far... I would like to change the way I view socialising. As an introvert this is quite challenging.
T - treating myself as I would a child... This is being my own nurturing parent. I thing the last 6 weeks I have been in full on child mode just doing whatever I wanted. Well... I am feeling a bit better so I need to start looking after myself - eating well and encouraging myself to do a little exercise. Getting to bed (an evening routine) at a decent time would be amazing.
O - I will aim for 15 NSDs, Will mark them on my calendar and try and lump spends together and curb my impulse buying. This O was for obviously usual rules apply. I have paid down debts first - albeit at a reduced rate still until my job uncertainty is clarified.
B - ...be prepared. Budgets done and money set aside for all bills. I am going to go through my cupboards/freezer tomorrow and do a rough meal plan for the week.
E - energy price drop!!! Whoop!!! I submitted an electric reading today - I totally would have forgotten had I not read this challenge today. I love this time of year - hibernation season. I definitely need to do an inventory of my medicine cupboard - maybe freeze some sliced lemons. Have honey in. Have some meals ready frozen. I am lucky that my apartment is a nice temperature throughout Winter (unbearable in Summer) so I rarely use heating. I will try and curb my water use/baths.
R - rest & relaxation. I am still not 100% so it is important I look after my health - physical and mental - by not taking on too much too soon. I will still see my folks 1 day/week but am making sure to not take on any new obligations or work. I need to get my work situation on track this month. Dreading it but I need that ended.
Today I am grateful for:
1) NST challenges and the folks that run and contribute to them!
2) A call from my brother checking in on me
3) Managing to do my laundry/pots/make bed. Well done me! I value myself!!!
Today = NSD number 1
Have a fantastic evening and here's hoping we all have a great October!!! 🎃⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

A complete slog of a day but I do seem to be getting somewhere. I have now cleared the floor in my room along the nearside of the bed and along the base of the bed. I've thrown down 2 small bags stuffed with rubbish and one of bottles. They join 4 rubbish bags in the yard (it was chucking it down and couldn't see my wellies), 2 in the kitchen + another bottles/ cans and 2 more in the front room (they couldn't go any further as I wanted to finish clearing the area around the bottom of the stairs.
I've taken 2 bags for life's worth of craft supplies/ stationery/ cards (recent purchases and things I was putting together - patterns and materials - when I was too ill to do anything else). I put those all away in the bureau and craft drawers. There will be more. Four new rolls of eco gift wrap went in the drawers, each with an extra roll of brown paper packaging which I dekinked and smoothed out,
I'm leaving work in progress and any materials I might need (mainly threads) in my room. I've half filled my second rubbish bag today, hung up clothes and handbags and have bags for life filled with shoes, library books, washing up (since taken down), the next bag of non- work in progress craft materials and one bag that's been up and down stairs several times with changing contents.
I'm making good progress on my little fox. I may have slightly overdone it as my arm and hands started to ache so i worked on my jigsaw after my evening meal and am hoping to get some more pattern pieces stuck down on card (may just read and then sleep). I washed my hair this morning (needed doing for 2 days but didn't have the energy to spare). I didn't comb it so I look a bit like a dandelion clock.
I found two project books (one nearly done and the other quite full but more 'lists I want to keep') and my other pair of glasses so I might be able to see what's on the floor from more than a foot away. I haven't found my diary and appointment letter but just remembered they send me texts for everything and it's on Tuesday so I can carry on tomorrow - let's hope it's dry enough to get to the bins.
Grateful for books, entertainment and food deliveries (going to the library was a stretch, no chance of getting to the shops)

Met a friend for a long walk & overdue catch up this morning. Followed by a tall glass of water & more talking 🤣 had dropped sewing off en route, but no answer at the door, so will have to collect payment another time.
Read my book whilst eating my dinner, managed to get the end of the chapter finished - it was 75 pages long, so couldn't do it in one sitting! Did 2 sewing jobs.
After tea I brought the 2nd lot of washing in, ironed a pile from yesterday. Did a bit of tidying.
DH announced that we'll employ someone to build the extension & he'll do the inside, so we can now start to get plans drawn up & move forwards with it. Yippee! I'm now on a major frugal savings challenge, as he doesn't think we've got enough saved. Every penny counts!
Did another small sewing job, then had s bath with my book & a face mask.
Grateful for a big rainbow over our house, eating mindfully again today & doing my 100 skips, a good catch-up & nice walk with my friendUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
