Beanie, well done you. That was a really tough choice that you've made and can't have been easy. Hugs xToday I am grateful for my alarm clock being set to the right time, for getting all the shopping on my list, for laundry still drying outside, for migraleve working for dc, for my liddle f+v box having two punnets of strawberries in it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Planned spend day todayas was meeting a friend for lunch at work. She picked the location and tbh it wasn't worth what we paid but it is what it is. As it was a spend day I also got a few toiletries that I needed for holiday and ordered some new hi vis gear for horse riding that I'd needed for a while. I also ordered a birthday present for OH.
Cycled halfway to work so got my exercise in that way today, which is just as well as it was a long day at work!7 -

Hugs Beanie, you can still love and support your son whilst recognising his partner is a total wingnut.Did the volunteering thing twice today, and gave one of my old men a lift to and from, so those were my good deeds for the day. Got laundry dried on the line. Every little helps - still not had to turn the heating on yet. Got energy bill and it was a smidge under £150, so building up a nice buffer before the cold sets in.DS2 is now down with the cold (DS3&4 succumbed last week) and it comes with a vicious sore throat.Only 4 more school days until half term... not that I am counting (okay, I am counting!).Got a few YS bargains after the volunteering session tonight.Looking forward to a slower day tomorrow, and getting loads more house stuff done + a trip to the tip.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks for another great post @grandmanerd.
Another NSD 😃 #5
Work went ok. Had a chat with a teacher after school. We used to catch up every couple of weeks, but now I'm at the other end of the school, we haven't managed it yet this term.
Watched the final episode of a series, whilst DS1 ate his tea before going to work.
Made 3 cards after tea. Only needed 1 just now, but didn't take much longer to do the others as well, & it'll save time later. Did a sewing job & helped DS3 finish his tie. I'll press it tomorrow, when I do the ironing.
Grateful for DH getting on ok at his hospital appointment, a good day at work, good TV programmesUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning all ⛅
Hugs Beanie. As everyone has said - really tough decision, but you are exactly right - you need to protect yourself and have good boundaries. Can only hope she will do some soul searching.
This morning I am meal-prepping as I type. Used up turkey mince and making a vat of chilli. That will do me 6 meals. I have a suspiciously full salad box - so must start eating into that today. Had a re-read of your posts grandmanerd and I am going to take your advice and start small with activity goals.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My fridge/freezer. How did people cope pre this invention?
2) Sunshine this morning
3) Funny banter with my brother and sister
Today = NSD number 4 <manacles self to the radiator and throws key out of reach>
Happy Tuesday everyone x

not much time to post today, but just wanted to pop in quickly to say hi.
@beanielou as everyone said, it's a tough decision, but it looks like it was the best one for you, so I'm sure it will be easier from now on. Big hugs!
no NSD today as it's my office day, and had to buy train tickets, and ended up buying something caffeinated... Also will be in the pub for my monthly book club tonight, so I will buy something to drink. Looking forward to picking up my routine again tomorrow.

Dentist and shopping today so definitely not a NSD! I think I am up to 3 at the moment. Not great, and tomorrow won't be one either, as I will need to pick up a couple of aubergines tomorrow to make some ratatouille for the freezer. This will use up some of my courgette mountain, and is a nice thing to come across in the winter!OH and I have covid jabs tomorrow, and I am really hoping that I don't get the usual adverse reaction, as I have to work on Thursday, and take my brother for a hospital appointment after
Bad planning, but there is so much happening this month it was difficult to fit it in.
Spent the afternoon in the garden. I planted garlic cloves and tulip bulbs that I already had, filled up my two little ponds and watered where it was needed. It is dry and pleasant here at the moment, though we had fog this morning when I had to drive to the dentist's in the next town.Grateful for nice weather (I realise other parts of the UK aren't as lucky), time in the garden, and not needing anything done at the dentist's9
