Im a bit new to this, but currently in an odd situation. My wife and I sold our house in march, currently living with my in laws, so no bills going out apart from our mobile DD’s.In future I will have these new bank accounts available to do switching, but as of now, it would be pointless setting up DD’s, in the hope of new account switches.0

As others have already said, you just need to create a burner account each (Examples are Chaser or Monzo which don't do any credit checks) and for DD's use Plum and Moneybox apps to setup savings accounts. It literally take 10 -15 mins of your time. Once done, go through each app and setup a DD to pay £2 per week from your burner account into your Plum and Moneybox accounts. Make sure you have some money in your burner account for the DD to be taken out, otherwise it will be declined or you may go overdrawn.stevey83 said:Im a bit new to this, but currently in an odd situation. Well try following the guides on here and going through the setting up of your current accounts as well as Plum/Moneybox and if you get stuck, just ask on here and I'm sure someone will guide you. Don't forget to thank themstevey83 said:

Just watched the new video from Andy of BeCleverWithYourCash. He is pointing out that a couple can do three switches to Nationwide if neither individually have had the incentive since August 2021 and also have not been part of a joint account that has received the incentive.
So that's two single account switches and one joint account switch, either opening new accounts or switching in to pre-existing accounts, of course the T&Cs apply to each switch independently ... £600 kerching!2 -
How can that work though? If you open a new account, then how can you do it with a joint account as well?0
-
Have a look at Andy's video on Youtube, I personally am not a joint account holder nor am I switching this time (ineligible). Presumably as long as you have the accounts there is a separate path in Nationwide's application process for single and joint applications, just apply for each separately.@stevey83 said:How can that work though? I might do that. No harm in trying. Just need to set the DD’s up as mentioned above!1
