My source account is Lloyds, it did not have any DDs set-up at that time. But, I set-up two CC min payment DDs and one each of plum and Moneybox. All four DDs show up now on my Lloyds account. No amount has been taken yet by DD, but I am expecting DD for Plum and Moneybpx to go out on Monday 13 Nov.
On 30 Oct, I received this email:We’re switching your current account
Your Account Switch Reference Number: xxxxxx
Thanks for choosing to switch your current account to us.
What next?
· We’ll contact your bank for a list of your regular payments
· Your chosen completion date is 23/11/2023
On 02 Nov, I received a text from Nationwide "Thanks for switching to Nationwide. Once the switch completes, we’ll text to say if you’ve qualified for our switching offer. Full T&Cs here nationwide.co.uk/switchoffer"
So, my source account Lloyds did not have any DDs when I applied for Nationwide Flexdirect and the Switch from Lloyds, but four DDs are there now and two DDs will be paid this coming Monday. Do you think I will still qualify for the switch offer? Thank you.1 -

The reason I was/am worried about "Active DDs" is that I read here and here that:You’ll need to switch over two “active” direct debits, where “a valid regular direct debit instruction exists on the account”. This means they need to be live, and possibly already paid out, on the account you will be switching from. This also applies to existing account holders taking advantage of the offer.
What is an “active” direct debit?
Quite a few switching offers and perks require an active direct debit to leave the account. Technically this could include any payment that has been taken in the last year.
However for the most part these direct debits have to come out every month to qualify – ruling out annual or quarterly payments.
You might also find when switching that the new bank wants the active direct debit to have already been paid from the old account. If you don’t have these on the account you want to switch you’ll need to set them up and have payments made before the switch date.0 -
I successfully got the £200 despite not qualifying in terms of when I last got the incentive. I had no products with Nationwide at all before the most recent switch. My other half also tried the switch, they still had the account open that they used to get the offer since 2021 but this time they did a switch into a new nationwide account. They have been told that they don’t qualify for the offer.5

Well have opened a new nationwide account and set up a switch (though have set a forward date for the switch of December 22nd to allow time for the two charities i have set up on my old account to set up and claim the dd's.)
This is a bit of a chance as I'm not sure if i had a switch offer during the timeframe, can see had an account with Nationwide from my credit reports which was closed in December 2021 but not sure if i had a switch incentive on that one before it was closed.
Worth a punt on it and worst case scenario will be a few donations to a couple of charities that i always give something to this time of year any way (but just usually do it via cheque or bank card).MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

which I have done now.
Question is, have i ballsed up the chance of getting the £200? Nationwide have sent me letters which I have received today for getting online with the account etc. But have i missed out the opportunity to get the £200? or can I apply to switch the Chase account again now I have closed the sub-account connected to it, to the Flex one that Is now open at Nationwide?
Kicking myself here for not noticing the other sub-account connected to the Chase AccountSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

My account switch completed today, old account closed and balance transferred to new account. Had an email from NW to say switch complete. Nothing about the £200 however? Does this come afterwards?0
