Was that not Royal Bank?MikeJXE said:

I applied again during this promotion and today got the £200 credited to my Flexaccount. Really chuiffed as it's coming up to an expensive time of year. After Barclays pay out, only Bank of Scotland left that I have not have a bonus oiff. They never seem to run any promotion though.1 -
No it wasn't, do you mean Royal B of S?MikeJXE said:

I understand from the posts that there are quite few examples where people went for the 2023 bonus even though they were 'on the verge' of the present T&Cs - and still got it. So questions:
1. When was their 2021 offer received (month)
2. Was the NW account that was participating in the offer closed/disposed of between then and now?
The first is obvious; the second is because I have a theory that if after the 2021 payout was received, if the participating account was closed (even if the customer still continues to hold other NW products, incl. another NW current account(s)), the present check from NW that is supposed to filter them out may not be able to track down the 2021 incentive - does that make sense?
Thanks - so I might be on to something here. Other double-dippers?Largs said:Just to update my post earlier in this thread. I got a switch bonus from NW around August/September 2021. I have also applied to switch into a newly opened Flex account whilst also having still open another Flex that I got the £200 for back in AUG/Sep 2021. So thinking now that this won’t result in a payout if I proceed. But if cancel switch, then close the 2021 Flex account, then reapply for switch to complete pre 60 days then that may work. Anyone else tried that? Will keep my 8% Reg saver as seen from previous posts that having other Nationwide products and same customer number does not appear to prevent bonus payout.PRAISETHESUN said:
That was my thought as well - I tried switching into a new NW account but the account which previously had taken advantage of the incentive was still open. Didn't get the incentive in my case.E_zroda said:Call to all those lucky people that got both last NW offer in 2021 and the latest £200 pls.

Is it a case of just phoning up to close an account?0 -
If you want to close an account, you can do that on the Internet Bank. You go into manage and select close an account.tg99 said:

Or just switch it to another bank, even if it doesn't offer an incentive. Less things to go wrong and you get all the benefits of CASS - redirection of payments, etc.

Yep, I’ll work out the latest I can switch it out by and then still get in within 60 days for one I’ve just opened….and hope another bank switch offer is launched that I’m eligible for in the meantime.PRAISETHESUN said:Largs said:

I applied for the Flexdirect account and the switch on 30 Oct. Selected the switch date of 23 Nov. This was the last available date in the drop-down menu.
My source account is Lloyds, it did not have any DDs set-up at that time. But, I set-up two CC min payment DDs and one each of plum and Moneybox. All four DDs show up now on my Lloyds account. No amount has been taken yet by DD, but I am expecting DD for Plum and Moneybpx to go out on Monday 13 Nov.
On 30 Oct, I received this email:We’re switching your current account
Your Account Switch Reference Number: xxxxxx
Thanks for choosing to switch your current account to us.
What next?
· We’ll contact your bank for a list of your regular payments
· Your chosen completion date is 23/11/2023
On 02 Nov, I received a text from Nationwide "Thanks for switching to Nationwide. Once the switch completes, we’ll text to say if you’ve qualified for our switching offer. Full T&Cs here nationwide.co.uk/switchoffer"
So, my source account Lloyds did not have any DDs when I applied for Nationwide Flexdirect and the Switch from Lloyds, but four DDs are there now and two DDs will be paid this coming Monday. Do you think I will still qualify for the switch offer? Thank you.0
