  • So I am expecting the tsb switch bonus to drop in my account before 30th November.

Can I sign up now for the Nationwide account and set my switch to like December 4th then get the bonus a week or so later? I already have a Nationwide joint account so hope to avoid a hard search there.
You could set a switch date for 4th December and still be eligible. From the terms:

So if you opened a Nationwide account today you could set a switch date for as late as 5th January and still be eligible for the offer.

Opened a FlexAccount yesterday. Did not switch that point as my donor account was still setting up my two direct debits.

Was already a Nationwide credit card customer so have the banking app set up. FlexAccount visible in the app today. No option visible to switch in my donor account.

Tried via the web based internet banking service. The switch option is there but not working for me. When I select continue I get an error message. Have tried via IPhone, IPad and a laptop using various browsers.

Using Nationwide’s online chat I keep getting told it’s a browser issue, or simply to apply again for another account and switch at the point of application!!!

has anyone else had a similar issue and, if so how did you resolve it?

TSB are not likely to catch wind of the switch before the switch date if I set it for the 4th for example? I don't want them to keep my switch money from them.

As long as you meet the terms of the TSB switching offer they can't withhold the money from you and if they did you'd have a very good reason to complain. Once they've paid you the switching incentive they can't take it from you.

One thing to note is that the switch will begin 7 working days before the switch date (24/11/23 if you select 4/12/23 as your switch date) so if you wanted to play it extremely safe you could set the switch date for 11/12/23 or later as this way the switch will begin after the latest day TSB could pay you the £150. You should still be fine selecting 4/12/23 though since the TSB account wouldn't close until 4th so would still be open when they pay you the £150.

Works fine here (PC, Firefox). The next page is "We need to check it's really you " with two options " Card reader   / Passnumber and code by text"

Call to all those lucky people that got both last NW offer in 2021 and the latest £200 pls.
I understand from the posts that there are quite few examples where people went for the 2023 bonus even though they were 'on the verge' of the present T&Cs - and still got it. So questions:
    1. When was their 2021 offer received  (month)
    2. Was the NW account that was participating in the offer closed/disposed of between then and now?
The first is obvious; the second is because I have a theory that if after the 2021 payout was received, if the participating account was closed (even if the customer still continues to hold other NW products, incl. another NW current account(s)), the present check from NW that is supposed to filter them out may not be able to track down the 2021 incentive -  does that make sense?

That was my thought as well - I tried switching into a new NW account but the account which previously had taken advantage of the incentive was still open. Didn't get the incentive in my case.

Thanks - and when did you get the previous one?
If the new offer lasts until the end of Nov, I may have a go myself. On the 16th my switch of the 2021 Flex Direct acc for the £175 Barclays offer should be completed. If my theory is correct, my September 2021 NW incentive may avoid detection - but just wanted to collect some feedback first.

Just to update my post earlier in this thread.  I got a switch bonus from NW around August/September 2021.  The account was closed some time afterwards.  I applied again during this promotion and today got the £200 credited to my Flexaccount.  Really chuiffed as it's coming up to an expensive time of year.  After Barclays pay out, only Bank of Scotland left that I have not have a bonus oiff.  They never seem to run any promotion though.
