Not received any text from Nationwide yet, but am I right in thinking that the text is usually a day or two after the switch? Reason I ask is because I'm in a bit of a hurry to get the nationwide sole accounts ready with 2 DDs to switch to the Barclays.0

Just a quick one regarding the 8% saver. You have to be a current account holder to get the account. If you switch to nationwide, open the saver, and then switch the current account to another bank - will the saver account stay open? Taking in to account the original eligibility?0

I already looked into this because if I don't get the £200, I will be moving the account. It says.....
"If at any point after you open this account you no longer have a current account with us, we may transfer the money in your Flex Regular Saver Issue 2 to an instant access savings account. Terms and conditions and the interest rate for the new account will apply, and we'll be in touch to let you know the details before we make the transfer."0 -
What’s the timescales for switch completion and the bonus being paid? My switch completed yesterday, and keen to move this one onto Barclays (since I have the 2 DDs already set up) thanks0

My switch is in progress. Once it completes & I’ve got the incentive can I cancel the DD’s & move them back to my main current account? Or do they need to stay active?I actually want to keep the nationwide account to use as a spending account be sending my disposable income to it & have all my bills etc staying with my main bank.0

Great news, Nationwide have now paid out the £200 incentive for our joint account, so just wanted to say a BIG thanks to everyone for assisting us with this. I'm now going to look into the Barclays switch incentive so I'll be posting on there. Once again thank you!1

Confirmation e-mail came through at lunch yesterday, £200 paid in both accounts by 3.00pm and both accounts moved to Barclays by 7.00pm. Barclays swap will complete on 14/11 then just wait for the money to hit so we can turn off Blue rewards to save the fee.
Not sure whether to give Lloyds another go but we got that last year (anyone else got it twice so close ?) Ignore that bit, just seen it finishes 14/11 so will wait for the next one.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
So I am expecting the tsb switch bonus to drop in my account before 30th November.
Can I sign up now for the Nationwide account and set my switch to like December 4th then get the bonus a week or so later? I already have a Nationwide joint account so hope to avoid a hard search there.0
